Ah, Stars Hollow, where the magic happens.
What adventures will Rory mumble her way through this week? Will Lane break down and give it up? Why did Lorelai choose such "special" colors when she painted her garage? What does Luke (aka Mr. Nutrition) think of the revised food guidelines? Is Jackson still the town leader? Did Sookie and Jackson's kid get abducted by aliens? Is Kirk and alien? Will Richard shave his mustache? How does Emily keep such great gams? Discuss.

I rewatched my S1 DVDs a few weeks back and it made me realize how much I want Dean to be back on the show. Granted, the character was a lot better in the early seasons, and the whole marriage/affair storyline made me kinda hate him, but I can't help it -- I miss him.
Also, I never got bored with any of the S1 eps. This season, I've been fighting to stay awake. Hell, I didn't even pay attention to the 100th episode. I think the show's just lost its spark.

I didn't get into GG until mid-season 3. I've been catching up on the old eppys on ABC Familiy and I have to agree that GG was spectacular when it started. The scenes with Lorelei and Luke had more spark to them. Emily was less of a shrew - misguided but not a complete harpy. Richard didnt seem so coniving. I still never miss an episode but maybe some of the writing is getting tired . . . or is it the actors?

Oh this is my heroin. I am not a regular WB watcher but I am faithful to this show. I even have my Mother and sister hooked.
I think I stay for the smart cultural references in the off-hand remarks.
But frankly I wish something would eventually be resolved between Emily and Lorelei. I mean come on already.....
I like Logan but I am waiting for him to screw over Rory. Yeah I like the mumbling Rory too. I am cheap like that.

They totally need to bring down the EvilEmily a notch. They've made her toxic to the point where Lorelai would be justified in never speaking to her again. But I don't want them to do that, because I like Kelly Bishop; she can do more SubtleControllingMother stuff if the writers wouldn't paint her in such a corner.
What strikes me is Richard's "diplomacy." He completely agrees with Emily's snobbery, but knows when to shut up. Still, I think Rory or Lorelai should know he shares his wife's opinion and call him out for it. Though he didn't participate in her actions, he tacitly approves.

Emily was over the top this last episode. I hoping there's a reason for this and that we're going to see why she's been so harsh this season.
I'm torn. I miss geeky Rory. You know geeky but comfortable and unapologetic about her geekiness, Rory. At the same time I'm interested in seeing how Lorelai will respond to Rory adapting to the rich, privilaged life.

I read a rumor on another message board that tonight's episode is a rerun. Please tell me that isn't so.

The next episode of GG isn't showing until April 19th actually. It's not fair!
Btw, I adore Rory and I would totally do whatever with Logan. He is hot.
I think this season is better than season four, but last week's episode was the worst GG episode ever, IMO. It was just something about it that didn't seem right. Why on earth did they spend so much time on that scene where Michel talks about his trip to LA? It was way too much time with Kirk as well. I don't mind him as much as others seem to do, but I can do without him being in almost every single scene.
I hope Lorelai's behaviour towards Luke in this last episode has a point. It was sad to see how bad she treated him. If it's not going to be explained further, I'm afraid I'll start hating Lorelai. And I don't want that.

I agree with vegasbaby. They need to bring Emily down a few notches, because she's been absolutely horrible lately. In the early years, she was snarky in a funny way, but lately she's been downright cruel with her machinations.
