Yay! Captain Jack back on the Doctor! Erm. That was a Freudian typo...But ohhhh, I want to see Tennant and Barrowman together. And then I want to see them making out.
I thought last week or the week before there was a slight moment where Jack got the notion that Gwen and Owen were having a moment and looked a little jealous. JACK/GWEN/OWEN OMG!
Ooh, yes, watch them in order. I need to watch them again. We really need to get the second series on DVD. Perhaps I shall buy it for my fiance for his birthday (just after Christmas). We're definitely hanging out for the next one, but I too am worried about the absence of Rose. I will miss her. I'm dubious about the new one.
Mind you, I cling to the fact that I was dubious about Billie Piper as well, so fingers cross that Russell knows what he's doing.

And I think people were dubious about David Tennant (although honestly, I don't know WHY -- just look at him!) too. But then, he is still the Doctor, not a whole new character. And the separation of the Doctor and Rose is just heartbreaking.
Me too. Obviously.
Hee hee! I could definitely get behind that. And I'm sure the three of them would too! I'm sure Jack wouldn't mind... Nor Owen... Nor Gwen.

The whole reason I exist is to experience the Dr Who/Torchwood crossover that is fast approaching. Well, maybe that's exagerating, but comeon Tennant+Barrowman? I shouldn't be thinking about it this time of the night, I'll never get to sleep.
Anyway, I just arrived to share some of the Dr love. Is anyone here on the LJ DrW/Torchwood communities? I just ask because that's where I get most of my info from.
It's my bedtime I'm afraid, but I'll be sure to check in here tomorrow!

I am on a few of the LJ communities, but some of them move too quickly for me to keep up. I am enjoying torchwood_three as a good summary of the day's postings. If anyone doesn't know already, the BBC is having a Doctor Who Advent Calendar that's kind of fun. I think the soundtrack is out in the UK now. I'd buy if if I could, but since I am stuck over here I (shhh) downloaded it. I am not paying for shipping from England! It would be worth the money if it were available here, though; I think it's very good. I am watching the episodes in order now and I'm at "New Earth." I think my love for "The Parting of the Ways" grows with each viewing, though I think it was unnecessarily mean of the Doctor to trick Rose into the TARDIS to make her go home. I know he was "trying to protect" her or some such crap, but what did he want her to do? It's not like she could just have stayed there. I love the line in "Doomsday" when she says "He's not doing that to me again!" but it's just so sad.

So, is the Runaway Bride going to be the new companion?

The new companion is <<Martha Jones (check Wikipedia for info). I'm guessing the bride is just a one-off. The actress who played Martha played another character in "The Army of Ghosts" as well.>>
But I am not looking forward to the Rose-lessness of the Christmas special.

I am, I never really liked Rose all that much. I can't wait to see how the new girl goes.

I am, I never really liked Rose all that much. I can't wait to see how the new girl goes. How are they going to get rid of Rose and bring in a new companion? I wonder how far behind we are in the states? We just had the episode where Rose and the Doctor end up on a planet orbiting a black hole that is occupied by Satan and the Oods. I didn't think that I'd like this Doctor as much as I liked Christopher Eccleston (who is so adorkable) but I do. He's really cute. I feel like putting some hugs on his skinny self. And at least I'll get to see Eccleston on "Heroes" this January.

You're almost at the end of season 2. "The Satan Pit" (the second part of that two-parter) is episode 9, so you've only got four episodes left. I think Canada is a week behind that, but I acquired the episodes through "alternative means." And the DVDs come out in January in North America, I think (but they're very expensive).
I feel like I shouldn't like Rose... But I do. Especially with the Doctor. Aw. And Tennant is absolutely my favourite, but watching Eccleston the second time around made me like him a bit more.
Oh, and my previous posts contain some spoilers because I wasn't sure which episodes had aired in the States, so I can go back and spoiler-tag them if you guys want.
