On the kids TV theme, I HATE the Doodlebops, Ooby, Boobah, the Imagination Movers, one of those groups on Noggin that plays songs between the shows- I cannot remember the name of the group, but the lead singer is bald, looks like a child molester, and sings about the number five, and finally I hate Tarah's Time on NPR. SHe seriously acts like she is on Meth.

My husband loves Smallville, and I haaate Lana. She uses the same fluttery eye movements for every scene and I swear to god, she should be a drooling vegetable after all the times she's been knocked unconscious.

I haven't watched Smallville in ages, but caught the latest episode when they reaired it last night, and man alive! I had forgotten what a crap actress the gal who plays Lana is!

She went to meet Chloe at the newspaper office and passed out while there (because that perpetual victim is pregnant), and the actress's "passing out" was the most unintentionally funny thing I've seen in a while. She just rolled her eyes back and fell to the floor. Then two seconds later, she just popped back up, brushed her clothes off and was perfectly fine - all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. No grogginess or confusion - she just popped up off the floor acted like she'd just leaned down to pick something off her shoe.

I normally hate Lana because of the way they write her, but that was a nice reminder that the actress playing her really doesn't help matters.

Lana sucks. I hate that character too. But I'll also go one step further to say that as the years have gone on, I'm really starting to hate Clark. Could he BE a bigger dork? It makes me stand up and cheer whenever they do a red kryptonite episode because he's finally sexin' it up and kicking ass. I used to have a Tom Welling crush but now Clark is such a drippy drip that I can't bear to watch him. I almost wish he and Lana would get together. They deserve each other. Then Hot Lex and Hot Lois can get together and kick ass in the name of enternal Hotness.

I could totally get behind that - except for the Lois part. I gotta say that watching that episode last night confirmed for me that I don't really like this Lois, the character nor the actress playing her. She's awful purty, but that's about it. I still think Chloe and Mama Kent are the hottest ladies on that show.

And poor Lex - why the hell is he dating Lana? He looked so bored and was practically rolling his eyes in every scene with Lana. That show needs to give Michael Rosenbaum some better material. I was actually bored by Lex for the first time ever, I think.

Oh, I agree Jensational. This show has me rooting for Lex to beat the stupidity out of Clark. Man of Steel = Brain of Goo.

kostgard, the actress who plays Lana is the worst. In addition to the constant passing out or being knocked unconscious (at this point, I have to wonder if the writers are doing it just for laughs), she is just plain bad. But at times, it does provide for some unintentional humor.

The last episode made me hate Clark for one reason, and one reason only: The only people he saves are those closest to him. I think it was in Zod that Chloe mentioned an Indian village had been destroyed and most of the people killed by something from the Phantom Zone. Did Clark run and check it out? NO! In fact, he still hasn't gone out to find anything; he waits for them to come to him. I think it's a weird message for a superhero to put out: If you live in Smallville or Metropolis, I will come to your rescue. Anywhere else, handle that shit yourself.

Lana Lang is a Mary Sue of the highest order. Add that to the bad actress, and you have a Black Hole of Suckitude that destroys everything in any scene in which it is in. I have never disliked a TV character so much. When she comes on screen, I know it's safe to flip over to NBC.
