Phil Stubbs from Ed. Hate. The character was just so aggresively quirky, with all the "look at me" antics and forced wackiness...just no. I wanted Ed to fire him for being so frickin' useless.

Amen! I'm not sure if it was MT's whiny delivery or the fact the writers continued to write Dawniepoo as a child after MT hit puberty (and she did with a vengeance the 3rd ep in S5), but Dawn was unendurable and tanked the show.

Of course, Buffy was no better. What a selfish, whining, self-absorbed bitch!

On Angel, all the regular cast after S2. Lorne was a one-note joke character who wore out his welcome in mid S2 and never should have been a regular.

Gunn - ditto. Stereotypical homeboy, 5th wheel, only served to bloat the cast and his endless self-pity in S4 didn't help. Hey, buddy boy, if you want to be seen as more that the muscle, get off your lazy butt and do something about it (i.e. learn to use the computer, cast spells, etc.) instead of whining.

Fred - Annoying, babbling ditz. Utterly pointless character and ridiculously immature given her age and life experiences. They should have left her in Pylea.

Cordelia - most ruined character. Went from snarky bitch to boring saint to boring evil.

Connor - creepy psycho, no redeeming qualities and whined constantly.

Wesley - creepy stalker/psycho, tortured women, had sick madonna/whore fixation. Anyone who thought that his obsession with Fred was in any way romantic is nuts.

Angel himself - petty, vain, selfish, hypocritical, arrogant jerk.

CSI Miami Ho Caine owns this topic. I literally can't watch the show because of him. Smug, annoying, unattractive.

L&O - CI Det. Goren - as bad as Ho Caine.

I only watched the first couple of seasons of Friends, but I hated both Monica and Ross. I couldn't understand why the others would want to be friends with them. Monica was such an obsessed harpy that there's no way people would have ended up hanging out at her apartment all the time. I'm sorry, I'm not hanging out any place where I'm likely to be shot if I spill my drink.

And Ross... dude, you're smart. We get it. Stop trying to work paleontology into every other sentence. If grown up people wanted to talk about dinosaurs all the time we'd be up to Jurassic Park 10 by now.

David Caruso owns this thread. Just thinking about him and his Horatio Caine make me feel ill. I can not watch that show for even 1 minute for fear of seeing his face. Oh the horror!

I also agree with Det. Goran from L&O Criminal Intent. It's sad because I usually like D'Onofrio; but one man cannot know everything.

I hated both Monica and Ross.

Ross is right up there with my most hated characters of all time, Colette. Shitty "friend," insufferable sexist, bad parent. Irritating voice. Actually, irritating everything. I loathe him.

And I'll happily jump aboard the Horatio Caine hatewagon. Even my mother, who is obsessed with Miami: CSI and was a huge NYPD Blue fan just told me tonight, "man, he really overplays this role." I was so proud of her.

Edited to add my still-active hate for the noxious and obnoxious Sydney Hanson of the evil and insanely unentertaining Providence. I love me some Mike Ferrell, but that piece of shit was not his best work.

Ha! You know the saddest thing? They're rerunning Charmed on Living TV (in the UK) at the moment, during the day, and I've been catching episodes occasionally and Phoebe? Is not a heinous bitch. She's a little flighty, but she's generous and sweet-tempered and not completely self-absorbed. God, I miss Prue. She would've kept her in line. Stupid Alyssa Milano.

Lately, though, I'm starting to hate Paige even more than Phoebe, mostly because of the whole Brody plotline, where she turns her back on her sisters because some guy says they're wrong. Um, Paige, honey? You've known this guy for TWO EPISODES. He is not an infalliable source of information. Get your priorities in order. The fact that Brody turned out to be right is not the point.

Why do both the younger Halliwell sisters go completely off the rails when some guy they like shows up? That was what turned Phoebe into Phoebitch as well, being with Cole. Suddenly all their loyalties get confused, and they stop acting like witches and start acting like fourteen year olds.

And why have I been talking about this for three paragraphs?

God, yes. Mind you, in S7, she was somewhat less irritating, but that may just have been because other characters were more irritating. Before that, she made me want to scream. Which, actually, was part of MT's problem - there wasn't anything in between normal voice and SCREAM voice. But Dawn was also written really young, especially when you consider that Buffy was fighting demons when she was the same age as Dawn in S6. I suppose they cast young, which probably didn't help, but geez. Fifteen and sixteen year olds may not be the world's heavyweights in terms of maturity, but they usually have a flicker of it now and then, and very often more than that. Especially, one would think, if they're around people who have to save the world on a regular basis.
