I finally watched the CSI finale this afternoon. Wow. I never expected to feel jostled, but seeing Nick squirming around in that tight little box really undid me. I don't think it would have bothered me as much if he didn't start rolling around, screaming. I mean, if a guy is so scared that he's panicking and fruitlessly screaming and pounding his fists, he must be terrified. I know George Eads was just acting, but jeez, he did a great job conveying the claustrophobia his character would have been feeling right then.

The new series of Doctor Who:
Dr Constantine saying "Mummy?" and then the gas mask forcing it's way out of his mouth, and his eyes glassing over and growing. Just as well they cut out the skull cracking noises

That one episode of Law & Order: SVU where Chad Lowe played Margot Kidder's son. She had been sleeping with him for years, and at the end, it shows him and her lying in bed together, right after he stabbed her to death. That was messed up.

The Unsolved Mystery segment that gets me every time is the one about Resurrection Mary, you know, the most famous ghost in Chicago? She's the hitchhiking flapper who asks you to stop at the cemetary, then disappears.

Well, one family claimed to have seen her walking by the side of the road late one night...but where her face was was just a black hole. Sweet holy Jesus, it was so incredibly creepy.

Law & Order SVU has its moments. One that sticks in my mind was the ep where this wealthy Manhattanite �adopts� an adolescent Ukrainian girl. Olivia and Elliot find the guy's whips and chains, arrest him, but can�t find the girl. The guy knows they can�t find her and brags, while in custody, �She doesn�t urinate without my permission!� Liv and Elliot finally find this weeping, skinny little waif the guy has kept hidden in a small box under his bed.

hottuna, I hate to creep you out even more, but that's probably based on the real life case of Carol Smith.

Oh, I just thought of another one: it was an episode of Judging Amy, where a five year old girl has been raped, and Maxine is trying to find out what happened. At first they think the stepfather did it, then her nine year old brother confesses. Maxine and the police think that the stepfather was abusing the little boy, only it turns out that his mother had been having sex with him for quite a while. At the end they confront the mother and she starts screaming hysterically saying that her son raped HER and that he was a pervert and a monster. *shudder*

I don't know WHY it was more disturbing for the mother to be abusing the kid rather than the stepdad, but it just was.

The SVU ep that gets me is the one where Kathryn Moenning plays a transsexual that gets gang raped when she is sent to a men's prison.
