I have missed the majority of this season, and for some reason, I'm not really bothered by it. I even sat through all of season 3 and didn't think it was that bad.
I don't know why I'm not as into it now. I love Victor Garber and would watch him read the phone book, but for some reason I just haven't been sucked in.

That's because he's hardly been in this season! Seriously, the only bit of Jack being Jack we got last night was his little dirty look to Marshall when they were communicating with Sydney during the museum mission. I mean, he was pretty awesome in last week's episode, but more often than not he's been somewhat of a background character this season.

Possible spoiler, look away if you don't want to know.
The TV Guide guy says:
Question: Any news on Lena Olin's possible return to Alias? — Tatiana
Ausiello: Yes! The deal closed last week and Syd's mama will be back for the big 90-minute season finale on May 25. And no one is more relieved than J.J. Abrams. "It's something I've been trying to do for a long time," he says. "I was hoping all year that we would be able to pull this off, and we managed to. I have to give a lot of credit to her agents, who were incredibly helpful in making this happen, because this is certainly a story that we wanted to tell. We're really excited about it."

Possible spoiler, look away if you don't want to know.
Thank God. It may be the only thing that saves this season for me. Aside from a little Sark and a few Jack moments, this season has bored the shite out of me.

Wow, this thread was all the way back on page three...is Alias over or what?
If anyone is still out there, didja catch the Looking Glass mention on the last episode? Per instructions from the unseen informant, Vaughn goes to the library and has to find Through the Looking Glass...antics ensue. I like that they are doing a more ongoing storyline; the self contained get the bad guys shows just aren't what Alias was all about, to me anyway. I haven't caught any Alice in Wonderland mentions in awhile and was glad to see it.

Yep, I caught the Through the Looking Glass reference.
I think Syd/Vaughn are back on track with their bedroom scene. Vaughn looking for his keys, his jacket, them talking, then later when they were getting ready to leave on "vacation"...they seemed very natural. I'm glad to have that back again. I'm not a shipper, but I think they should be together and leave it at that. I had enough of the whiny angst last season.
I could have done without flesh-melting guy at the beginning. I almost vomited up my dinner.
To me, she's a contrivance. I neither like her nor hate her. She's just...there. Boring. I don't see the point of her. The Rambaldi/Bill Vaughn/Derevko sisters storyline could have existed without her if they wanted it to. Also, I don't see any chemistry between her and Weiss. They seem more like big brother/little sister than potential mates.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the hell Jack and Sloane are up to. I'm firmly convinced 'ol Arvin is up to no good. I hope Spy Daddy stays two steps ahead of him.

It's obvious they love each other, but we aren't being bombarded with the mushy stuff. I have to agree with your assessment of Nadia. She adds nothing to the show. Her "romance" with Weiss isn't believable, and her acting is stilted. I did enjoy her backstory, but could JJ have been a tiny bit more original than stealing lots of plot from La Femme Nikita? Anyway, is anyone else worried about SpyDaddy?

I most definitely am. They better not do anything to him - he's the best thing about this show. Not to mention he relationship he's developing with Marshall is getting pretty cute/funny.
I'm sure they'll pull some miracle cure out of their butts, or Rambaldi's butt. Plus I'm half convinced that Spy Daddy has super powers anyway - he'll find a way through this.

Yeah, Spy Daddy's health is going to be a question, now. Maybe Sloane can score some of that Rambaldi goo that's proven helpful in the past.
Speaking of Rambaldi, is anyone else glad that they've eased up on that storyline? Because last season, it got way, way out of hand. Magical goo, that weird contraption with the green smoke they used to track Nadia (it looked like an episode of Charmed), the Covenant being after Syd's eggs...bizarre stuff, I tell you. They're going to revisit Rambaldi of course, to tie in with the Derevko sisters, but let's hope they don't get all weird with it again.

That crazy machine that Nadia was hooked up to so she could write down whatever it was...it was just embarrassingly bad. I hope they never go that route with rambaldi again. Just a little here and there, keep it mysterious and elusive.
