Did anyone see when Jack said something about Nadia (he paid her a compliment, I'm not exactly sure what he said) and Irina says "I wonder where she gets that from." Does this mean that Jack is Nadia's father? I wondered the EXACT same thing spurs.

Oh yeah, I'm thinking Nadia could be Jack's! I also got a weird vibe from Vaughn...like he was going to be killed on the mission. Because that's how it works on Alias. Sydney loves someone, they die.
Anyone else think next season will be the last? ABC is moving it to Thursday night, eight o'clock. Kiss o'death! Plus Jennifer Garner will have a baby and might want to stay home and be mellow for awhile.

Me three. I think that's exactly what Irina meant. Is it wrong that I thought it was really sweet? And could that mean that Syd is Sloan's daughter? Or is that too unthinkable? That would be a twist.
I think that next season being the last might be a good idea. Or a sixth season to wrap up all the loose ends. I think they could really make hay with the pregnancy. I saw a mention somewhere about Syd's DNA or eggs being stolen way back when. I guess they wouldn't need her to carry the child, but it could be a good storyline.

So what's the deal with the cliffhanger? If Vaughn's not Vaughn, then who is he? So many questions.
I was actually kind of hoping the finale would suck so I would have an excuse not to watch next season, and while it did suck for the first 55 minutes, the last scene was pretty awesome. Which means I'll still be watching. Damn you, Alias! Always pulling me back in!

The 5th season premiere is tonight.
I'm not sure if I should watch or just tivo it because I'm brand new to Alias. I've seen seasons 1, 2, and 3 on DVD and I'm watching the season 4 episodes on TNT.
I think I'll probably watch the premier tonight because I know what happened in the finale last year and I want to know what's up with Vaughn. Or whoever the heck he's supposed to be.
All I know is that Vaughn had better NOT be a bad guy. He hesitated and said it "depends on who you ask" when Syd asked if he was a bad guy. And his relationship with Sydney had better NOT be a big lie. I can't help it, I adore the Vaughn and Syd relationship. The two most boring characters on the show deserve each other. I feel sorry for Syd though because this means that the three people she has loved the most have lied and kept major secrets from her. Who the heck can this woman trust?
I'm not looking forward to the new cast members at all. They should just focus on the cast members they already have. There can never be enough Jack Bristow or Marshall Flinkman in my opinion.

vaughn is dead.
I thought the premiere was great. The prophet 5 thing is going to be cool. Hope JJ hasn't jumped the shark AGAIN for this season and focuses all his attention on stupid Lost. At least give this show a good sendoff.
The new characters dont seem that bad. And Im an Alias fan from the beginning. I liked this episode far better than the last SEASON.

I'm hoping this is Alias's last season. And I've watched this show since the premiere of episode ONE. JJ Abrams has his mega-hit with Lost, his attention is elsewhere, time to let this one go gently into that goodnight.
The only way I'd want it to come back is if it was a spin-off with Spy Mommy, Spy Daddy, and maybe a guest appearance by Syd and Marshall once in a blue moon.
All that being said, if Vaughn isn't really dead, even after the hail of bullets from automatic rifles at point-blank range, I will be PISSED.

I thought this was a terrific premier. Lot of good continuity bits--Marshall and Vaughn having lunch, Dixon's convo with Sydney. And funny bits too--Weiss and Vaughn having tango lessons. Please let there be a deleted scene of that!
I'm intrigued. I'm sure this will be the final season of the show. Felicity's last season was rough, but was redeemed by a terrific final 5 episodes. Alias is starting on stronger ground, so I'm looking forward to the season.
Has Invasion tanked in the ratings? I hope so--Alias after Lost is the way to go.

I don't think Vaughn is really dead. This is Alias after all where we got to see Sloane flatline and "die" of lethal injection and get brought back to life. Irina has "died" God only knows how many times. We saw Allison Doren get shot 4 or 5 times by Sydney and she lived.
Who gets shot that many times and is talking and sipping water right after? Not to mention he was not hooked up to anything but oxygen. Shouldn't he have at least been on a respirator?
Jack and Sydney definately cooked something up. Vaughn is off somewhere laying low while they take care of this whole Prophet 5 business. I bet Vaughn will be giving them intel from wherever he is throughout the season.
I really wanted to see a clip of Vaughn and Weiss practicing the waltz.
This was a fantastic episode. I really wish I had taped it.
