So Parnell stars in Lazy Sunday, the biggest skit/thing to happen to SNL in about 5-10 years and then gets booted? Boo. Boo, I say. Also, I crush on Will Forte as well and his skit on the Jack Black episode where he spectacularly bombs a spelling bee is hysterical. Oh, yay, found it! (sound is a bit quiet, though). This season should be interesting with all the change-ups.

If it's true, I'm so excited that Mr. Sanz-Talent will be gone. He's nothing more than a vortex of suck. But I'll miss Forte and Parnell, they were awesome. The Falconer is the best recurring character they have right now, the sketch in the season finale was the best sketch of the season.
I think it's about time Darrell Hammond retired myself, he's been there for 8 or 9 years now.

My brother and I always joke that when Horatio Sanz left (basically, when he died...because NO ONE would ever hire him!) they would put together one of those "Best Of" retrospectives, and it would be an hour and a half of that Billy Joel sketch on a loop. Seriously, that was the only time I ever found him funny. And how can you not laugh when someone is throwing tricycles at a car winshield while some fat guy warbles Billy Joel's greatest hits?
I've heard that the first time they tried to get rid of Parnell it was because he had a coke problem? I don't know if that's true. Supposedly, Ferrell helped him get his life back together and ultimately get his job back. If that story is true, AWW I love Will Ferrell so much more! However, I think at this point it may have more to do with budgetary concerns. I read NBC made massive cuts to SNL's budget, so maybe they are dumping older cast members who expect more money. Parnell and Forte are a little older, as well; I think they are trying to find a younger viewing audience with the likes of Andy Samberg. I'm told he is a "hottie," but I really just want to kick him in the teeth. I don't get it...and at 21 I am probably in their target age range!
I think they might end up regretting what they've done. Parnell was, to me, the only male cast member who was consistently funny (okay, and sometimes Kenan). I like Will Forte, because he has the great distinction of being the ONLY notable person to ever graduate from my high school, but he was really underused. LOVED the Falconer, though, and the sketch in the Kevin Spacey ep. had me laughing like a loon.
Must be good to have Horatio gone, though.

Did you hear that he had a coke problem or that Lorne tried to fire him and Will Ferrell saved his job? 'Cause it seems to me that a lot of those people have coke problems. Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz were definitely on SOMETHING that wouldn't let them keep a straight face during any of their sketches.

Did anyone watch the Julia Louis Dreyfus rerun on Sunday? I am still laughing at that Charades skit, and Amy Poehler doing "licking two ice cream cones".
