SNL hasn't altered their schedule since the early eighties. They always start the season around September 30 with 3 new episodes. Week 4 is always a rerun.
I have found this season to be extremely weak so far, so I didn't care much that last night was a rerun. When the musical guests are the highlight of the show for me, that means the rest is baaaad.

For those of you who missed the SNL throwback episode at 10pm EST/9pm CST last night, it was actually a little scary. First of all, when I saw the musical guests (Luciano Pavarotti with Vanessa Williams), I remembered what a great episode it was. What I didn't remember was the cold opening with Darrell Hammond as a just-impeached Bill Clinton, and Alec Baldwin with the Ghost of Christmas Future, seeing then-featured player Jimmy Fallon as the SNL host--"Yeah! Turns out I'm really famous now!"
Also, the NPR Schweddy Balls sketch will never not be funny. Apparently I am forever twelve.

I don't know where SNL gets their extras, but the guy playing one of the fake reporters in tonight's cold open was the worst one I've ever seen.

SNL At Home was pretty awesome! Not perfect, obviously - but I appreciated the effort and it was actually quite endearing.

SNL At Home was pretty awesome! Not perfect, obviously - but I appreciated the effort and it was actually quite endearing. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was--some of it was funnier than the stuff they were doing before everything shut down. I had wondered how Colin Jost and Michael Che would handle Weekend Update, especially since Che's grandma passed away last week from the virus, but that may have been the best part of the show. And the tribute to Hal Willner, longtime music director, was very sweet and well-deserved--he's been responsible for some of my most favorite sketches for so many years--really lovely...

See, I thought it wasn’t that good. I enjoyed the skit about the first Zoom meeting. But like a lot of SNL skits, it went on too long. The types of short films that Kyle Mooney does seem to work so much better in this format. I didn’t think Weekend Update worked at all. The tribute to Hal Wilmer was lovely though.

I liked everything except the makeshift laugh track during Update, it was very distracting.
The Zoom sketch was probably my favorite because Aidy and Kate can do no wrong.

I thought it was good for what it was, and I enjoyed most of it. I find Weekend Update tedious even in “normal” times and so did not particularly care for it last night.
The Hal Willner tribute made me cry. He died on the same day as John Prine so his death didn’t get as much notice, so I’m glad he got a fitting tribute. He sounds like he was a great guy.

Honestly, I didn't think it was that funny, but it was cool/comforting to see the inside of their houses (Colin Jost's is swank--surprise).
Yeah, Aidy & Kate are great. Wish they had more Melissa Villasenor, less Pete Davidson.

I was bothered by the people laughing during weekend update. I don’t know if they were at Michael’s or Colin’s, but they were too loud, louder than the hosts. I ended up muting after the jokes because it was so irritating.
