See, I thought it wasn’t that good. I enjoyed the skit about the first Zoom meeting. But like a lot of SNL skits, it went on too long. The types of short films that Kyle Mooney does seem to work so much better in this format. I didn’t think Weekend Update worked at all. The tribute to Hal Wilmer was lovely though. Hal Willner was my friend's brother. I always knew she had a brother who worked at SNL, but never realized he was such an integral part of the show behind the scenes. Agreed on the Zoom sketch, it started out pretty funny but I thought Kate and Aidy kinda went off the rails by the end of it. The beginning parts were painfully true though with the peering into the screen and inability to figure out any of the features. I just had to do a zoom call with a few of freelancers who are 70+ and that's pretty much exactly how it went. I was startled by Tom Hanks' appearance at first, he was a dead ringer for J.K. Simmons and looked very little like himself. His monologue was pretty good though, "some sketches will be good, some will be stinkers, you know the drill...", lol. I appreciated the effort and it worked a little better than I would have expected. The strategically placed guitar on Colin's couch made me laugh/roll my eyes. Also, it looked like he was using a heavy-duty filter on his camera, he was all smoothed out looking like there was vaseline on the lens.

Does anyone know if the 90s era episodes will be in Peacock? I tried searching, but they glossed over it, as if I wouldn’t want to watch Sweeney Sisters.

Am I the only one who burst into tears at the end of Weekend Update last night? Such a sweet, appropriate little moment...

I've got to wonder how things are going over there at 30 Rock today. Are they rewriting like mad? Did they prepare two different shows? Does Alec Baldwin get a night off?

Oh, I’m sure there will be a lot of material for him through January!

My local news actually cut their broadcast short for once, so it only started about 20 minutes late here.
