It was ...good. But I was expecting GREAT. Hated that Carter may be back at County. They left it all so open ended. For all we know maybe he decided to stay for that night and help with all those victims coming in. I would much rather he be at The Carter Center. There's a reason why everybody got the hell away from County General. That place is the definition of bad karma.
I was thinking I may be crying my eyes out. And I didn't.
The retrospective was EXCELLENT though. Loved seeing Anna Del Amico and Maggie Doyle. Would have been nice to see Kellie Martin too though.

I think Martin left the show on bad terms, so I wasn't surprised she didn't appear. But it was sad, because it kept them from mentioning how awesome the Carter/Lucy stabathon episodes were.

There was nothing about Gant either, they didn't mention that storyline at all. I found that odd because it was a compelling story and I think it was the first death of a regular character on the show.

I found that odd because it was a compelling story and I think it was the first death of a regular character on the show. At the very beginning of the retrospective, as the cameras are going through each room in the hospital, one of the voiceovers was from when the pager goes off while they are working on him and they realize it's Gant. But yeah, they should've included the actual scene. I'm so glad that I got to watch this last night, as we had severe thunderstorms all day and I just knew the power would go out and I'd miss it. So long ER. You were my favorite TV drama until the very end. I'll definitely miss you every Thursday night.

Ah, I missed that. I haven't seen the episode in so long that I didn't recognize the sound clip.

I watched, and was underwhelmed. That's probably b/c with the exception of Carter and his whole story--I don't know who any of the current cast is, and so felt no connection to them.
Honestly, after Mark left the show--or after Carter left would've been the best times to let the show go. They were the heart of it .

Well, it was nice of Kem to show up for the dedication of the clinic named in her son's honor.
I was right about there not being much left of her and Carter's relationship. Seems like she can't deal with the loss of the baby and I wonder if she's tried. Not being around for your husband's kidney transplant doesn't say much for you, IMO.

From the way Carter was talking about her to Benton I got the impression that he knows it's pretty much over between them but still has a tiny bit of hope. Poor guy, he's the only one that wound up alone at the end. Even freakin' Morris found someone.

I got the feeling that he didn't tell her about it until after the fact. (Could be wrong - I only watched the episode with the transplant.)

Kem didn't know about Carters condition. Because Carter didn't tell her. In fact, he didn't tell ANYBODY. I think one reason he came back to Chicago is that all his close friends were gone. So there was nobody left who knew him well enough to look at him and see he wasn't quite right. Neela, Sam, and Morris were there but they weren't exactly "close" friends.
