Yesterday annoyed me more than any episode has in awhile--and that's saying something. In no particular order of annoyance:
1. Anna hand waving away Duke's hit on Jordan. - I get it, you don't need to berate someone on their death bed, but I hope they have Anna have some clarity on this in the future. If Julian is "the big bad" so is Duke.
2. Jordan lying about who ordered the hit on her. I know Sean is dumb, but is he not going to wonder why Bruce is dead?
3. Nathan acting like Jakeson wasn't cooperating. No, he just wasn't telling him what he wanted to hear. And why not test his hands for gunpowder? Oh, right, because that would prove he had nothing to do with the shooting.
4. Carlos acting like a nervous virgin on prom night when he went to see Sabrina. He was ordered to hit Duke, so why act like baby did a bad, bad thing?
5. The party going on in Olivia's cubicle while they're trying to treat a severely premature infant. Good god, this show doesn't even try to be semi medically accurate.

Bye, Julexis. *sniff sniff* I liked the conflicted Julian that came to Port Charles and fell hopelessly in love with Alexis. This other guy? He's even worse than he was when he was young. Young Julian only killed people when he had to (his crazy sister, Olivia, among those.) He preferred getting rid of his enemies by neutralizing them through economic or legal tactics. No Julexis, no Niz. This show blows. I like my Cassadines happy damnit.
Oh well at least I won't have to enjoy the dramatic stylings of Tony Geary anymore.

Why is Julian so awful and Sonny a saint when they do the same things?

That's one of the mysteries of General Hospital. The only time I've found Sonny tolerable was the first time around with Brenda. He sucks rocks otherwise.

Sonny was an AMAZING character back in the 90s and Sonny/Brenda were on a whole other level. Plus the Sonny/Brenda/Jax triangle was so well executed. When I was younger I rooted for Sonny/Brenda because they were so electric and captivating but now that I am older I get the appeal of Jax/Brenda. Maurice acted the hell out of every script he got back then. I don't understand what happened. He was such a fascinating gray character with all these layers when when Guza and Frons got control and allowed SB and MB dictate the show, it ruined Sonny.
GH is such a huge mess now. When Cartini took over they were at least trying but it's like they couldn't turn it into OLTL V. 2.0 so they gave up. It's so sad to watch.

I smell rewrites coming and Julian will not be the one giving Carlos his orders. I'm going with Sloane. The character is awful and nothing they've tried, including a recast has worked. He was working with Helena a few more months. The feedback on Julian's return to the mob had not been good since a few months ago he was selling his soull to try to get out. They just don't know what else to do with Sonny and he needs a rival. I also think the scenes coming on the 21st and 22nd will be good ones for Julexis fans. I've heard that Olivia and Ned lie about the baby dying. Ned gets the baby out of PC with Olivia following later. This sets up Wally leaving and Lisa's maternity leave. I'm pretty sure they're recasting Ned.
I've also heard that Julian leaves the mob, and becomes more like the ruthless businessman and publisher Derek Wells he was when he first came back to town. A little bird has to me that there was an actor revolt against the writing, and that has led to changes including the hiring of Jeam Passante. I also smell a new head writer coming with the addition of Jean Passante to the writing staff. Ron's tweets welcoming her were not all that welcoming.

Wally is available and great! UGH! Jean Passante coming on is not good. She is AWFUL. How were the tweets? Ron blocked me a long time ago so I can't see. I hope he's seething.
