I liked that story better when it was called The Last King of Scotland.
No seriously, the actual execution of the episode was wonderful (especially James Earl Jones, reminding you why he's James Earl Freaking Jones), but the story was so... what?

I thought the premiere was a solid homage to Cuckoo's Nest. They could've cut a few subplots but I appreciated House's & Dr. Nolan's journeys. Alvarez was completely one-note (Lin-Manuel Miranda is the guy who wrote In the Heights and every time I've seen him do spoken word it's the exact same 'personality,' nasal inflections et al.)
ETA: Foreman just keeps becoming a bigger & bigger prick. Why exactly does 13 put up with him? Also, what a strange turn for Chase to take early in the season. Seemed more like an act for sweeps week than episode 3?

I still don't know how I feel about tonights episode and also last weeks as well. On one hand, I understand why Chase let JEJs character die, but on the other hand it still doesn't make it right. And the cover-up being done for what he did just saddens me. If the truth ever comes out, JEJ is going to be treated like a martyr and not the evil dictator that he apparently was. This would basically become an international mess which is too grand of a scope for a show like House to cover. Maybe instead of using a dictator in the storyline, they could have used a rapist, pedophile or serial killer or something???
Oh, and I still hate Thirteens character. I hope she stays in Malaysia.

The Thirteen storyline pissed me OFF. It's just so pointless. I would rather watch Chase and Cameron argue about whose turn it is to do laundry. On the flip side I do like Chase and Foreman's weird little not-buddies relationship.
I really liked the decision to hire new people, but Thirteen was a really bad choice. I wish the final three had been Kutner, Amber and the Mormon guy (despite the fact that two of those characters are now dead...)

Why the hell did Taub leave? And does it mean that because he left at the beginning of the season that he's coming back? And I agree, whatever the hell country she's in can keep Thirteen. Don't want her back.
And last week's ep, with Chase? Ugh. I've always felt he was treated unfairly as a character. Like, he was in seminary, he prayed over people, but he's not against killing people, either. To me, that's never been adequately explained. So, this doesn't surprise me, but I'm just not a fan of it.

Great episode last night! Well, the patient kinda sucked, and I had to look away during that gross tooth-pulling scene (ewww). But: lots and lots of Chase! Plus plenty of House & Wilson! And, best of all: no Thirteen! Yay!

So how many times did Thirteen appear to do the Groucho "Hello, I must be going..." thing? And Taub just fades away? I call bullshit!

I'm loving that we get more Chase! Although, I'm not sure how I feel about the storyline, but as long as we get to actually have Chase around then I'm all for it.

I really can't stand that guy, but I swear I was relieved to see him if only to halt the House/Cuddy crap. I am SO sick of that! As for tonight... House: "She's left Chase and she's leaving the hospital." Me: "YAY!!!"
