I don't remember the guy who killed himself. But I'm like you MaryWebGirl - I don't remember half the people I'm supposed to (or at least think I"m supposed to). Then, there are several, like the guy who is taking care of things for the rival guy who is in prison, that I confuse with other people. It used to drive me nuts, and then I just resigned myself to following the storylines of the primary characters, and not attempt to keep track of most of the mob business. I guess that just goes to show I don't have much of a future as a mobster.

I had no idea who this guy was.
What with the sushi?

I couldn't decide if the sushi was somehow showing that Carmella was pulling Tony away from his old ways to save their marriage (sushi is about as far as you can get from lasagna) or if it was setting up a future poisoning of Tony with some bad fish.
The way they emphasized Carmella's new car, and the way they were shooting the scenes with it, I couldn't help but think that that thing is going to blow up before the season is over.

I really felt for the guy who killed himself. I thought his facial expressions, his pent-up frustration and disappointment were really believable. I just felt so sad for him and his wife, although he did choose that life. So, not too sad.
That was Angie Bompensiero having dinner with Carm; I loved when Carmela found out Angie bought the 'vette herself. She was no longer pleased that Tony bought the truck for her, huh?
I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I graduated high school with the guy who plays Benny, so I love when they show him.

I saw a lot of parallels between the guy who killed himself and his wife and Tony and Carmella. Carmella has gone through her times over the course of the show of hating what Tony does, not wanting to be a part of it, but being totally motivated by the rewards and benefits her life gets from what he does. So to a degree, I think that showing what happened to one family when he tried to leave the mob, they illustrated what it is that keeps Carmella around.

The guy who killed himself was Eugene Pontecorvo (I have no idea if I spelled that right). He got made at the same time as Christopher. He was also the guy who attacked Little Paulie with a bottle at the construction site and freaked the hell out of Meadow's boyfriend, Finn. That's actually how I knew his name, because I watched that episode ("Unidentified Black Males") the other night and when Finn is telling her what he saw she says, "Eugene Pontecorvo???" in the most irritating way.
Maybe they like the sushi because it is so different than their normal world? Like they can pretend to be regular suburbanites there?

One of my favourite scenes last night. Carm's face was priceless.

A reappearance by the Russian would be sweet. We say that all the time. They totally let that plotline die except when Christahfuh and Paulie were telling the other guys about it at the Bada Bing in a later episode. Bring him back!I like to think he's out there living out of a cave, doing just fine. I do not remember the guy that killed himself at all, but then again I barely recognized the first informant who keeled over in the car. Was he the one that flipped and turned in Johnny Sack and all of NY? I can't believe Janice had a kid, I'd think it was for Bobby but he seemed more interested in his trains than the baby.

This reminds me of a cute moment last night. When Tony's getting indignant about not wanting to put Uncle Jun in a home, Janice says something to him about not saying hello to his niece. Tony just put on this cute little uncle face and says sweetly, "hi sweetheart" or something like that. I just thought it was cute because I was thinking "lighten up, Janice, the baby's barely old enough to know whether someone's saying hellor not."
