Oh, Chief. Tempting. Cool. I'll probably do a marathon before the premiere or something.

I'm at the store getting honey and lemon for this darn cold and the show made EW's cover! I have no idea if the article is spoiler-y but, damn, Gaius looks more crazy than usual on the cover. And Mary has discovered the fountain of youth. The funny thing is that I was honestly going to e-mail them about devoting a cover to Eva Famewhoria and the Housewives one week after the fall TV preview and not BSG but probelm solved.

OK... I'm in the middle of "Downloaded", now. And I am loving the reversal of Baltar haunting Six!

Re: Billy - darn. Poor sap. I hate Dualla so, so much. It's all her fault.

She's so totally a Cylon, yo. That would explain why she went after Lee so aggressively and didn't give Billy a second's thought - she had her eye on the bigger fish. (BTW, can you say "nepotism"? Admiral and Commander Adamas?)

It would also explain why there is no Athena in the new BSG. (Which pisses me off, 'cause she and Starbuck were my favorites characters in the original.) Have the PTBs ever discussed this?

ETA: All done now! Wow... I was totally hating that "one year later" stuff - until the Cylons showed up. And now I am so sad I won't be seeing Season 3 until Gods know when!

(And I can't even access the webisodes - it says they're "not available from your location". Frack! )

Where the heck *is* your location, Casino? Because The entire first act of the premiere is up! at SciFi's site.

I wouldn't worry too much because this is probably the most illegally downloaded show on the planet.

BTW, the reason I'm not watching the webisodes is because my friend is in the same boat as Casino - she never watched it "live" and is just now viewing the 2.5 DVDs, which I bought for "us" and I dunno if I have enough willpower not to spoil her.

Do you know how much willpower it takes for 6 months *not* to scream out "One year later! The cylons win! Everything's gone to hell!?

Casino Bride, not that I would ever, ever suggest anything so bad and wrong as illegal downloading (it's bad!), the only way nonAmericans can get the webisodes is by hunting them out on YouTube (#8 is up but Sci-Fi will probably have it taken down, the bastids) or bit-torrenting them.

If you know anyone nerdy enough, they should be able to easily snag all 10 webisodes for you this afternoon, after the last one comes out. They're that prevalent. I can only imagine, as hunter states, how crazy the internets will be on Saturday morning.

And it's too late and I'm too drunk to find the link, but apparently Sci-Fi doesn't even *care*!

No, really, I read this article about how the British premiere was like the most downloaded show ever and whatnot, but SciFi/Sky One/whoever didn't even crack down that much and in spite (or more likely, because of) the downloading, it was still the highest ranked premiere ever or something.

So Casino, find your closest nerd and seduce them, is what we're saying.

Oh, you *know* I'm wearing my "Not a Robot" shirt to work on Friday.

Thanks for your help, Hunter (I commend you on your superhuman willpower, sir!) and bstewart - you would think that the Canadian version of SciFi, Space, would have the webisodes too, right? (And, after all, most of the show is shot in our country, ya know?)

That said, this resistance stuff is reminding me a lot of V - I hope they won't borrow too much from that, even though I loved it too. And, as for the trailers I've seen:

1) I wonder who Baltar is screaming "I'm begging you to shoot me!" to? Six?; and

2) What is this about Kara having a kid? Did the Cylons get some eggs and put the baby on super-speedy growth? I hope they won't go there, 'cause it's already been done on the X-Files... heck, even on Ally McBeal!

I was wondering about that too! I certainly hope not!

I am kind of late to the BSG love. I am not a sci-fi person at all and hubby is, so this summer, I humored him and started watching Season 1 with him. Of course, I was instantly addicted. We eventually bought Seasons 2 and 2.5 so now, I am all caught up!

Watching all the DVDs so close together, I saw the characters' evolution take place pretty quickly and I kind of thought it looked like they made Starbuck more girly. It isn't just the long hair, but in the first season you see her starting fights, drinking, playing cards and smoking cigars, and by season 2.5, she looks like they're putting more make up on her and she just kind of looks more feminine. She even looks thinner. It might just be me seeing things though. I barely noticed that Lee got puffy.

I am still completely obsessed though. I can't wait for Friday.

From an Original BSG Geek's point of view (mine!), I think they initially made her more like the "real" (male) Starbuck (see my AV!) - right down to the drinking and gambling and cigar-smoking.

I was sooooo ready to hate this version when I first heard about it, especially how Starbuck was now a "chick".

But I've grown to love her so much that she's my favorite female character. And, hmm, Anders is very, very hot. I like Kara better with the short hair, though.

Argh... you lucky, lucky Americans who have Sci-Fi! *sigh*

Oh definitely, I know they were basing her on Dirk Benedict's Starbuck, but I don't want to see her soften too much. She's my favorite female character too! I like the cigar chomping, drinking bad-ass Starbuck. But it was kind of fun to see her with Anders. I just don't want her to lose too much of her toughness.
