That's right, Gaia: Kill Eiriene, and Pullo will choke you for real and not in a sexy way!
I'm not looking forward to the Series Finale. I so want Lucius Vorenus to live a happy life, but I see something tragic happening.

Setting actual history aside and just going off the show, I have to say my Antony love died last night. Being that I am so Team Atia, the heartbreak he caused her for that scraggly little boy Cleopatra made me hate him.
Plus, he looked like a douchbag with all that makeup on. I still love Purefoy though.
Also, I am staying away from spoilers for the finale, but I will say that if Vorenus and Pullo don't walk off into the sunset together I just might have to feed someone to the goats.

Gaia...just one big cautionary tale, huh? Just don't be killing dudes' pregnant wives and expect that ish to work out long-term.
Well, Perkis may not be legal age, but his character Octavian sure acts it (over and over, apparently). Ahem. He and Livia seemed perfect matches, in the scarred psychosis department, anyway. Any scholars want to tell me if they lived long, smack-happy lives together?

He and Livia seemed perfect matches, in the scarred psychosis department, anyway. Any scholars want to tell me if they lived long, smack-happy lives together? Well, I'm definitely no scholar, but the internet tells me that Livia was Octavian's third wife. Apparently, he had a brief and unconsumated first marriage to Clodia; his second marriage, to Scribonia, was short, unhappy, and ended in divorce, but not before it resulted in the birth of a daughter, Julia, whom he later married to Agrippa. Livia and Octavian/Augustus were married for fifty years. Back to TV Rome: Anyroad, I was glad to see Gaia get what was coming to her. Pullo will be all full of rage when he accompanies Octavian to Egypt. I would love for Vorenus to jump ship at Actium and desert to Octavian's side, but his story arc just won't go there. He'll be killed only to be reunited with Niobe in the afterworld, I bet. Pullo will have to kill his own son, and then will die spectacularly. I forsee everyone dying. The sex scenes between Octavian and Livia are twisted. I suppose it makes sense Octavian has kinky tastes, he did willingly sleep with his sister after all. I suppose I am finding them creepy because I am not turned on in the slightest by Simon Woods. OTOH, Purefoy, Stevenson, and McKidd are all babelicious men, so I am more than happy to see them getting it on [/shallow]. No shit. I mean, really, I could see him being under her spell sexually if he had been a fairly sheltered fellow back home, but the series has driven home the point that Antony (the character) has shagged every woman from Ostia to Brittania, so really, what new tricks could she have taught him? Sheesh. Poor Atia.

Thanks TamaraD! I feel more naive but a lot less dirty now.

SPOILER for those who have not yet seen the last episode.
I am really sad it is over. It is too bad they had to cram so much story in the last couple of episodes.
I am glad they let Ceasarien live rather than killing him as actually hapenned. As well it was great that Vorenus got to reconcile with his children before dying.
They need to have a Titus Pullo spinoff. He was a great character.
