My boyfriend doesn't watch any reality stuff on tv (he likes Hell's Kitchen, that was a shock) but just now when I was watching this, he walked by, stopped when he saw the judges and said "Well that's the most STD-infested panel in the history of TV". Maybe you had to be there, but heh.
That Dilana girl totally got that dress from Hot Topic. I've seen it.

The only rockers contestants I think have some skills are the girl from Austin, Patrice, and the guy from Australia. The rest are so gimmicky or they just can't sing, imo.
Jill, the one who sang the Hole song--I love that Dave called her out on her "stepping out of the box" nonsense.
Dilana looks and sounds like she should be on stage stirring some smoking, bubbling concoction in a calderon while chanting "Double, double toil and trouble..."
I'm going to echo Kafka's sentiments from the Hell's Kitchen thread. I just don't like any of these people. No one really has any charm or charisma. And few of them have any real singing ability.

I completely agree with your choices, Indygirl. And I don't think I will watch this again. Everyone is such a bunch of rock poseurs, it's just too lame to watch.
I still love Tommy Lee way too much for my own good. Ok, I might watch ONE more time...

Boy, great minds think alike, because I was so thinking this very same thing. I'm going to have to restate what someone else said, but here it goes. . .
Would it hurt this chick to be somewhat attractive? She's getting to the point that she's looking old. Now, you can't have that in rock-n-roll, especially if you are trying to break into the business.

That is EXACTLY the same thought I had when I first saw her on stage—and that dress was COMPLETELY Hot Topic.
They are all a bunch of poseurs—and that Lukas? Is an abomination. Can't sing, not good looking, stupid make up, and really? Must he wear the Rock and Republic jeans every week?
I totally agree. Not a single one has an air of genuineness about them. NONE. It's like they cribbed every movememnt, every vocal inflection, and every mannerism from every music video they'd ever seen. They can "act" like rock stars, but really, give me the $1,000 wardrobe and I could, too. Doesn't mean it would be pretty—but it wouldn't be hard to do.

I agree as well. At least last year, there were ones I was rooting for (well, in MiG's case, drooling over), but I've found none of that this year. I just don't care. My thought actually was, "This is the best you could find?" I mean seriously, these people can't sing in the same key, yet alone the right one. |

I am unsure if I am going to make it through this season. Last season was like crack to me and I was invested after the first episode. These "rockers" simply bore me to tears. As of now I could care less who wins. The editing of the performance comments from Dave & Supernova is atrocious as well. Booooring.
I do however covet the necklace Brookie was wearing last night. That was about the only interesting part of the show for me.

I always think reality shows are sort of boring right off the top because there are just too many people for me to get involved with. Once we get to a final 10 I'm much more invested.
That being said, I forgot it was on last night for the first 1/2 hour which is not a good sign.
