Are you loving the show? You may have to watch it a few times... So far, yes - I am absolutely loving it! Thanks for asking! I'm only on the 3rd episode, but so far I've cheered and laughed out loud and almost cried many times. And, wow, I didn't know Romo from BSG was in this! And Jasmine from Angel! *starts the karaoke machine* Seriously, Zoe rocks! And I was so happy when Kaylee didn't really die, 'cause she's so adorable! The only one I don't like is the "Ambassador" - urgh. As for "Captain Tightpants": the incredible hotness is rendering me speechless.

I have a question for all of you Firefly experts.
I just bought the DVD sets. This has been one of those shows that my husband and I keep meaning to watch, but never get around to. We've Tivoed some eps, only to have them bumped off for space. Hence, the buying of the DVDs.
My question relates to episode order. They are ordered on the DVD set in a different order than original air date.
Airdate:The Train Job, Bushwhacked, Our Mrs. Reynolds, Jaynestown, Out of Gas, Shindig, Safe, Ariel, War Stories, Objects in Space, Serenity Parts 1 & 2. DVDs:Serenity Parts 1 & 2, The Train Job, Bushwhacked, Shindig, Safe, Our Mrs. Reynolds, Jaynestown, Out of Gas, Ariel, War Stories, Trash (never aired), The Message (never aired), Heart of Gold (never aired), Objects in Space
Now, presumably they ordered them that way on the set for a reason, so I'm turning to you all:
As a first-time viewer, in which order should we watch the show? Would the show make more sense if we watched it in the DVD order, or in the original air date order?

This is what I'd like to know too. I'm only going to tune in because the BSG peeps here seem to like this too.

I think the order they are in the box is the best way, from what I recall. I seem to remember that the original airing order was a little confusing.

Watch it in the order they have it in the box. Serenity 1/2 should have been the series premiere, and they really give you an overall sense of what the show and the characters are all about.

Thanks. I suspected there might have been some studio/network shenanigans in the OAD order if they went out of their way to change it for the DVDs.
Love Joss/Tim Minear, and I hope we find the show as enjoyable as y'all have.

I'm on episode 12 now - taking it slowly, as there are so few. And I've watched them in the DVD order. Still adoring it so very, very much. I've already gotten the Collector's Edition of Serenity for when I'm done with the series.
