Do any of the Canadians on this board remember Barbara Martini when she was commentating for the CBC? Everything was terrible, everyone (but the Canadians) sucked. It was hysterical. I wish she were doing commentary for this thing. Just because she was a frightful beeyotch. I saw clips of Kurt Browning on ET or one of those entertainment shows. Man I had a heck of a crush on him at one point. Even though he's bald now, he's still looking pretty good. He's married with kids now right?

I was hoping the team would be Kwan-Cohen-Czisny, but Alissa really shot herself in the foot. There's an evil piece of me that's especially happy that Michelle is knocking a Hughes out of the Olympics. You are not alone in your thinking. On Sunday they showed the skating exhibition from nationals. They had a ceremony and every Olympic Gold medalist for figure skating came on to the ice. They were all there. From Dick Buttons, Tenley Allbright down to Tara Lipinski. It was wonderful, all these enormous skating talents and then they announced Sara Hughes. All I could think was wtf!!

And that explains why I hate him so much.
I take the one that is made of wood.

Good one, Topher.
If I were Dave, I'd be afraid that if I skated wrong with Nancy, she'd be crying, "Why me? Why am I paired with this Neanderthal hockey player?"

Same here. Except I was thinking "WTF?" when they got to Tara, too. She just irritates the crap out of me.
Spurs--I was so going to change my avatar to a Michelle/believe theme and you beat me to it! ;D Maybe I'll do it anyway--we'll be the "Believe in Michelle" faction of CPMCoG.
I saw a piece on ET/Extra/one of those shows about SwC and was shocked at how small the ice space looked. For some reason I thought they'd be skating on a full-sized arena space.

Git 'em, Mr. Nicks!
And re: Michelle Kwan, I've wondered if she's destined to be the Janet Lynn of our generation. Although she's not as good a free skater as Janet. NO ONE is as good a free skater as Janet was.

Kurt Browning married a Spanish Ballerina named Sonia Rodriguez and they have 1 child. They have a home in Spain and they built this beautiful log home on his father's property that I think they are too busy to ever use. I think Kurt has been losing his hair since he was 16. Poor guy.

Actually, that ceremony was held Saturday night during the Nationals competition, between the second and third groups. How do I know, you ask? Well dears, I was there! Yay! Good times!
Sarah Hughes made the mistake of "WOO HOO"ing for her sister and thus got mobbed by autograph-seekers. Ha ha.
*Running off to find a Michelle avatar*

carrier76! Please share your review of the Ladies' Free Skate! ABC showed the last two groups. I was really disappointed that Jane Bugaeva didn't make it into the penultimate group to be shown on TV, but instead we got to see boring Megan Williams-Stewart and deer-in-the-headlights Megan Oster. And how did Erica Archambault's Triple Loop-Triple Loop look? And re: Michelle Kwan, I've wondered if she's destined to be the Janet Lynn of our generation. Although she's not as good a free skater as Janet. NO ONE is as good a free skater as Janet was. I'm so glad I wasn't alive in 1972 or I would've cried some major tears watching Janet Lynn be beaten by Trixie Schuba. Trixie only placed somewhere around 7th in the free skate, but her lead in the figures was so big she won the Gold anyway, I once read.
