Yeah. Burning Love basically already parodied the Bachelor/Bachelorette in awesome detail. I don't need some standup hamming it up on the actual program. She was great as a cameo though.

Well, this has been a juicy episode. I can't believe no one has commented.
Like that Simpsons episode with Lisa and Ralph, you can actually pinpoint the moment when Kaitlyn broke Joe's heart.
She actually told Shawn only. I want ton know who he was talking to in the Loo, when he said he's so upset that he can't piss. Production assistant? Random Irishman? Or himself?
At least she admitted that she told him that he was The One, an unbelievably dumb and (legally) dangerous thing to say.
Jared got stuck in the friend zone, but he definitely took the high class road out. Someone will get lucky with him. He's a good guy. #LoveWins

That was so squirmy and awkward to watch. It was also weird because Joe has gotten the least amount of time with her/been chosen for the fewest 1-1 dates and honestly never seemed to really give a shit beyond enjoying the free travel/booze/hanging out with the guys. The declaration of love seemed very out of place based on what we've seen BUT I also think she could have stopped him sooner instead of letting him go on and on before saying "yeah, not feeling it, sorry."
On the other hand, I thought she telegraphed it ahead of time by asking him over and over and over if he was "ready to be engaged"or whatever. Maybe it's just because I'm able to see her dates with the others and how big a difference in body language and connection there is with the other guys compared to Joe, but I thought it was clear that she wasn't into him. Maybe that was just his Hail Mary to try to get through for the next trip.
He was a sweet guy, loved him trying to give her his coat even after she booted him. Of all the guys, I'd say he got the best deal because he had literally ALL of the fanciest dates. He also had the best attitude of all of them, he always seemed to roll with the ups and downs.
But I agree, he was in the friend zone. They seemed to have fun together but it always kinda creeped me out when they made out because it seemed like she was kissing her younger brother or something.
Much as Shawn is getting a little over the top with the jealousy, I did feel bad for him when he was all excited about getting the extra time with Kaitlyn, not knowing that it was just so she could drop this bomb on him. He showed up all happy and then it slowly, slowly started to dawn on him that something was not right.

Shawn seems like the kind of person who is always looking for a reason not to be happy. Even when he appears happy about something, just give him time, after stewing over it a while he'll find a reason to take all that happiness back and make you feel like an idiot for thinking he had a good time with you. I really don't like him (what we are allowed to see of him anyway). He doesn't seem to have much of a sense of humor and his insistence on always referring to Nick as "the other guy" is a little weird. He convinced himself that it's all Nick's fault that Kaitlyn took back her statement that he was "the one" and he can't let it go. Plus, he's not even physically attractive with that big glumpy face of his. But, as always, could just be a bad edit...and bad lighting.
The final three are nothing to write home about. Shawn is as above, Nick is skeevy, and Ben is boring with a capital B. I don't see Kaitlyn with any of these guys. I think this entire process with being on the Bachelor, competing to being the Bachelorette, and having so many men proclaim their undying love after being cruelly shit on by a few of the others has made her all wonky in the head. Girl needs a good solid break from the head-fuckery.

What was up with Nick's family? They acted like he went into a deep state of depression after coming home from his last stint on The Bachelorette. There emotions were so intense, I wondered if he might have attempted suicide or something. Question is, if "the journey" left him in such a terrible state the first time, why would he do it again?
Still think Shawn is a possessive asshole. Couldn't help but notice that he made sure to tell his dad his favorite story. It's the story about a man named Shawn, AKA, The One. You are not Neo. Let. it. go.
Still think Ben is boring, and it looks like he'll be the next Bachelor. I hope they get the travel budget back up to previous levels for his season to offset the blah. The last couple of seasons have been pretty disappointing travel wise. I can't believe they went to Ireland and stayed parked there. Not even a quick trip to Scotland or London. Lame.

And when Nick was on Andi's season, his family was going on about how he went through a darkness with his last relationship breaking up.

Caitlyn called Ben all the things most people are looking for (generally speaking): funny, handsome, smart, caring, mature.
And she picks the two dramA kings.

The whole JJ-Clint narrative was cringeworthy. I'd like to think America has matured from the giggling over close male friendships because they might be *tee-hee* gay for each other. Guys have close emotional bonds with each other just as women do with each other. It doesn't automatically mean they are touched with "the gay." So ridiculous and not funny. But of course, JJ wasn't bothered by it because he is going to appear on the next Bachelor show (whatever it's called).
It never ceases to amaze me how the cast of this show either willfully ignore or are completely oblivious to the games the producers play with them. Chris Harrison sits there on his high horse looking down on the online bullying against Kaitlyn that he helped create. And Kaitlyn just sits without giving any indication that she's bothered by the way she was edited. Nobody should have to put up with the abuse she is getting, and if it were me or someone I cared about, I would be livid at everyone who had a part in it. Right from the get go with the season preview viewers who are inclined to do so were encouraged to slut-shame her. It was hard to miss the batshit signals that the producers put out there.
Kaitlyn and Nick were clearly encouraged to go ahead and have sex if they felt like it the night it happened, and the cameras kept rolling right up until the moment the door (dramatically) shut. The morning after featuring Kaitlyn talking with the producers and expressing regret (cause "sluts" aren't allowed to feel anything but shame) was also part of the narrative, as was her guilt-ridden "confession" to Shawn. I understand how these people can get caught up in things in the moment, what I don't understand is how they are still caught up in it after the show is over and aired. I don't know. Maybe it's the continuous parties and trips that former castmembers are allowed to participate in for years afterwards that keep them blissfully unaware. I just find it bizarre when someone like Kaitlyn, who has to deal with a pretty negative aftermath, doesn't even hint at any misgivings towards the show.

I swear on a box of STD's that I have not cheated. I think she'll pick Shawn.

Yay! I'm pleasantly shocked by the outcome. I love those two crazy kids together.
