We're not even getting an "after the final rose" show? IMO, that is the best illustration there is for just how bland this season was. I knew for a while that Travis would pick Sarah. He's supposed to be picking the girl he wants to marry, not the girl he wants to have a wild torrid affair with for a few weeks. And let's be honest here - could you imagine living day in and day out with Moana? The girl would begin each morning crying saying "I'm just so happy to be with you. I can't believe that I got to wake up next to you AGAIN this morning". When he came home from work, she'd break into tears each day saying "I can't believe you came home to me AGAIN today! When you walk in the door, I see a part of me walking towards me". UGH!!!!!
Sarah isn't the most exciting woman to be chosen ever, and I don't think they'll last for six month. But Moana? There's no way that any sane man could spend much time with Moana. I think that if the editors had let her go on for a bit more on the night of their final date, she would have thrown in a "you complete me" and maybe even a "you had me at hello."

Oh and he's not going to be hearing "You're the perfect man for me!" line from Sarah ad nauseum??? Equally distressing.

Both of them were using that line. Every bachelorette since the beginning of the show has used that line.

Oh and I forgot they worked out at the same gym. Even me, the shyest of the shy when meeting women (when I was single), would have at least noticed a woman that I was attracted to who runs by my house and works out at the same gym as me. Hell, that would have given me an opening line that I even wouldn't have stumbled through. I just don't get it.
I couldn't watch the family meeting part. Did they fall all over Sarah and hate Moana?

They didn't really fall all over Sarah, but they liked her. She was pretty much exactly like them, so it wasn't really a surprise. She also did that stupid "arms out, thumbs up, knees together, butt in the air" thing with his nieces. What exactly is that stupid little dance that it appears all kids and Sarah are the only ones to know? Moana seemed to really get along well with Travis' sister and brother-in-law ... she of course cried through a "Travis completes me" speech to his sister which made sis cry too. Then, over dinner with the parents and sis and bro-in-law, they asked her questions about why she was attracted to Travis, and she couldn't answer them. It was hard to tell if she was just having trouble finding the words, or if she wasn't attracted to him and just wanted to win and/or be cast as the next Bachelorette, or if she didn't think it was their business. At any rate, it was akward.
That dinner summed up my issue with Moana - she always seemed to be fine with Travis in one on one situations. But when there were other people around, regardless of whether those people were her family, his family, the other women, or whoever, she just seemed unstable. You can't build a relationship on being alone just the two of you all the time. So how exactly would that work? I can hear Travis now "Sorry best friend. IT's really nice that you and your wife invited MOana and me to the great party you're throwing. But Moana tends to freak out when we're aroun other people. So I'll just have to pass"

I felt pretty bad watching Moana crying in the limo last night. I think he just made the easy choice. Of course I didn't watch the whole season. I just think if he wanted someone like Sarah he should have stayed in Nashville.

I liked Sarah. I thought she was cute and bubbly. Not to mention classy. She never said anything bad about the other women and I found that to be great compared to how witchy the other women were. It's interesting because he knows Sarah's like that, but Moana kept saying that all the girls were so aweful to her, even when she cooked for him. He knew something was off. It was great to see him at least try to call her on her crap. If a whole house of women are against one woman, it may just mean something other than jealousy.
And that was akward with the family. I was like "speak woman"! Say something. Even if she wanted to keep some things to herself, there is still a way to be polite with an answer. She was kinda rude in saying she didn't want to talk about anything.

I agree with a lot of what you said Flamethrower. I got the impression that Sarah looked at the opportunity to meet Travis's family as a chance to get to know people who may be important in her life. Moana on the other hand seemed to view them as yet another obstacle to get Travis ... and an obstacle that she really couldn't be bothered with for the most part.
I think you're also right about Sarah's class. I was trying to guess how each of them would have reacted had he chosen the ohter way. I have a hard time believing that Sarah would have refused to hug him back (although that hug was akward to say the least ... Moana could have at least fake hugged him back) I think that Sarah would have wished him and Moana well, shown that she was somewhat sad, but not overly dramatic. Moana took on a "how dare you shock me" attitude from the moment he said "but". Sarah had a bit of an "oh no" look when he said "but", but would not have (on camera) taken on such a "How dare you not love me like I love me" attitude. Moana did a nice job of seducing Travis ... but there's more to life then seducing one man. Being nice to the other people you encounter DOES matter.

As she said up in the limo, Moana is a very guarded about herself and her feelings. This explains how she acted in the beginning of the show. Now, they throw her in front of his family and her guard goes back up. She couldn't come off as all nice because it is not her personality when meeting new people. She got burned by this and burned bad. I will say that if one is a "guarded" as Moana ,being on this show isn't a great idea.

You say guarded, I say damaged......I did not dislike Moana, I just thought she had serious emotional issues. And whether she is comfortable or not, meeting the parents is a huge deal- on a cheesy reality show and in real life. Moana just seemed to turn every situation into something adversarial, and I don't think that was Travis' cup of tea.
