Wait, is the parole officer's body still stuck in the wall? CTU still hasn't detected a corpse in the office? He signed in to the building and no one's noticed that he hasn't signed out? There doesn't seem to have been much point in stashing him in the walls (or at least showing up that part of it). I mean, she got caught pretty soon after that and it never came back up, so why bother writing it in as something that looked pretty significant? Pointless. Wish Stephen Root had a bigger part than that, too - would've loved to see him playing Hastings or one of the baddies. Way to waste talent (although they seem to have done that with Katee Sackhoff, too). Are we supposed to care that Jack killed for revenge? He didn't even kill Nina for that reason and Nina killed his wife. Are we to believe that the Renee & Jack bond was stronger than his first marriage? Or is it just 'cause it's season 8 now and he's out of patience. They really do kill off a lot of fantastic characters. Pity. I miss Nina/Tony/Bill/....... Yet Kim lives.

Excellent season finale. Got teary when Kiefer said goodbye & thanked the fans.
I have had my issues with 24 this season, but they really brought the writing and the acting this episode.
President Taylor finally woke up & realized that peace cannot come at the price of our integrity. This is the gravitas that earned her an Emmy last year.
Logan fully cemented his status as evil fucker/villain/measly little shit.
Chloe continued to be her usual awesome self, but Jack's acknowledgment that she had always had his back made me want to cry. Love her.
Jack...what can I say? He's captivated me from S1 and I am going to miss him on Mondays next fall/winter. Regardless of the ridiculousness of the storylines, I always believed in Jack, his mission, his vision. I really wanted him to find love, but as they so aptly showed with this ep, that's not what we expect for him. He's the protector, the hero, and he's meant to essentially go it alone.

Got teary when Kiefer said goodbye & thanked the fans. We didn't get that here. Stupid Global feed! Dammit. Otherwise... I just didn't care anymore. That's what happens when you turn your main character into a psycho Terminator and kill off practically every other likeable character. ETA: Or send them to jail, never to be seen or heard from again, of course.

Yeah, Jack kinda lost me once he start ripping people's innards out. And then he put my homegirl Chloe in a sleeper hold, and he and I were done professionally. /Christian Bale/ Still, I really liked Cherry Jones' acting here...She played the hell out of a conflicted person who is ultimately good. I thought Dalia Hassan might punch her out, she got really intense at the end. I've always liked the way 24 ended, even when the middle got slow. I think my favorite ending would have to be when he sat in his car and wept. I zoned out whenever FPJ had more than one line of dialogue. I started daydreaming that James Badge Dale would show up with his one hand, screaming "You call yourself an agent?" What a blank slate. Hope someone remembers to let Reed out of prison, get the body out the wall, notify all the families of the men Dana killed etc, et al. Here's Kiefer's thank you.

Jack's back, baby! Well, May 2014. I'm actually happy about this. I couldn't get into Touch, it was boring. And 24 at its worst is still better than the craptacular The Following.

I have to admit that I was thrilled to see this thread back at the top again. And with Happy Endings over, Elisha Cuthbert is available. Just saying.

I couldn't get into Touch either. I'm excited. They are definitely going to have to bring back Chloe. Wouldn't be the same without her.

I hated the Touch pilot but about 6 eps in (I know), I caught on and started liking it. This past finale was pretty good.

It will still be called 24 but told in 12 episodes? So holding to that equation if she does come back, instead of cougar she'll be menaced by an obese house cat with a bad disposition.

They need a 24/ Happy Endings mash-up. Jack trying to save the word, while trying to deal with the gang? It will write itself.
