C'mon, you know you watch it. ;D So let the snark begin.

I don't watch this show religiously, but it still fascinates me. I think I may be the only person I know that doesn't detest Dr. Rey. Like I told a friend of mine, "Yeah, he's kind of assy, but if I was going to get cosmetic surgery I want the annoying hyper-perfectionist."

His wife is another story. I think she has some sort of disorder. What, I don't know, but I just saw the episode where he was in Mexico and she had dropped to EIGHTY EIGHT pounds because she was so stressed out. There was one scene where her little girl was acting up and after the daughter left the room she said she just couldn't eat "after something like that." Like what? A three year old acting like a three year old?

I know someone else is out there killing brain cells on this program -- speak up!

I watched during the summer when they ran all the episodes constantly. I don't like Dr. Rey and his constant "make the boobs bigggggger!" attitude, mainly because I think it's gross and he was borderline inappropriate, but that's just me. He seemed nice, just like...too touchy feely and weird to me. His wife was annoying too. Actually, the doctor who bugged me a lot for some reason was the pregnant one. Something about her irritated the hell outta me, and I'm not sure exactly what it was, but it did. I got angry when she came on the screen.

Still a cool show, though. Pretty addicting. But I love surgery shows.

Dr. Ray and his "people live like this!" shit in Mexico was obnoxious. Also, I think the problem with her wife is that she is always alone. You never see her doing anything with friends. She seems completely isolated in the house with the kids and even when Dr. Rey has free time he's being a total selfish ass and working on his Karate or whatever. I think the problem with the pregnant doc is she has bitch face. You just know she is a major biotch off of camera. At least what Dr. Rey puts out there is as real as he probably knows how to. As is his sad sad wife. And how large of a cry for help was the on air eating disorder news?

They just had a new episode where this guy into body art/alteration had to have his earlobes reattached cuz he'd stretched then tore them. I couldn't watch it.

I love this show. There's something for everyone -- gorey surgery, vapid patients, the Rey's bratty children, their trainwreck of a marriage, obnoxious doctors. It's a veritable goldmine for reality TV fans.

Actually, the doctor who bugged me a lot for some reason was the pregnant one. Something about her irritated the hell outta me, and I'm not sure exactly what it was, but it did. I got angry when she came on the screen.

What bugs me about her is that she's a fucking DOCTOR and she didn't go for a pap smear for like three or four years and then she goes because she wants to get pregnant and finds out she has precancerous cells! How stupid can you be?

I actually like her demeanor towards he patients better than Dr. Rey, but I don't know if I'd trust someone that can't call up a classmate and schedule a quickie pap.

Even worse, the last episode I saw she was planning out the rest of her unborn child's life. That marriage is headed for Splitsville.

I watch this show quite a bit too. Dr. Rey is a bit obsessed with the patients getting their boobs bigger than they want. But then I hear all kinds of stories about how your breasts swell after the surgery, and you get used to that size, so that when the swelling goes down, you get a little disappointed. So maybe that's his reasoning.

Also, did anyone see that episode where Tabitha Stevens got anal bleaching done? Last I checked, waxing and bleaching weren't exactly plastic surgery. Maybe they had her on there since she's a plastic surgery addict. Who knows?

And agreeing with what everyone said, what makes me crazy is that Dr. Rey wants MORE kids!
WTF is up with that?
He is never home, his wife is miserable and they can't handle the two they have!

The pregnant doctor admited to the fact that she is a Uber control freak and perfectionist, so I think that is what bugs. Great if your her patient, a lifetime of hell if your her kid.

^^ That's why I would let her work on me. And unlike Dr. Rey, she is willing to let you get normal-sized implants.

Wasn't it more like 10 years? And, yeah, very dumb. On the plus side, thank god she did finally get pregnant, as I don't think I could've faced another episode with her laying there with her feet in stirrups.

Re: Dr. Rey and his Amazing Technicolor Suits. He bugs me big time, but by the same token, he does seem to be a talented surgeon. I have also heard that many women pick too small a size implant pre-surgery and are disappointed afterwards, but his hard sell of the massive implants gets annoying.

And his wife? Argh! What an annoying whiner. I definitely think she's either clinically depressed or has an eating disorder. I don't buy her "I forgot to eat" excuse. After a certain point, it's not just stress or "forgetting," it's purposeful.

Another thing about Dr. Rey that is annoying is that while his reasoning for pressuring to get the larger implants is that they swell up and then shrink back down, I have heard him say on more than one occasion that because he's Brazillian he wants people to get the big boobs. Sadly, I only think he's half joking.
