He's such a freaking phony. Even if I thought he'd be doing pro bono reconstructive work if the cameras weren't there, he just does it to boost his ego. And I loved the shots of their daughter being a spoiled brat with the whining and fake crying while Hayley was going through boxes and boxes of old clothes and toys. Why yes, it is easier to buy your kids stuff than to tell them no.
That skeevy vagina doc continues to gross me out, but I thought the lift procedure was fairly normal. He didn't insist she get implants and she didn't want them, and the results looked great and not porn star fake.

I thought it was interesting that he brought the other doctor in to help rather than go it alone. I think Dr. Rey is skeevy, but I do think he at least takes the surgeries seriously. I liked the woman that wrote all the letters to help Juan get the surgery. She really seemed to care about him.
He is creepy, but what was up with that woman discussing the procedure with her daughter? It clearly bothered the poor girl. She didn't want to hear about her mother's G-Spot.

Did anyone else catch the season finale? I think Dr. Rey rejecting the patient from Michigan was PR for him or something. The cardiologist made it sound fine, and of course she didn't need the surgery but most of his patients don't. And she obviously had implants so apparently she came through that OK. And I honestly couldn't care less about the drama with his dad and Hayley.
I could have sworn we saw the couple's fourth kid at the beginning of the season.
I thought the penile implant guy was sweet, but it was another case of where I don't understand why he'd go to a plastic surgeon instead of a urologist for that procedure. And the girl getting implants and and a chemical peel or whatever was just meh. Although I think it's funny that the dermatologist starts every consultation with, "You actually great skin, there's just some ______."

I saw the finale. While I usually don't think much of Dr. Rey, I was interested in the whole dilemma about seeing his father. I was on Haley's side, but threatening to move to Canada seemed a bit much.
As for the surgeries, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the heart problem woman had breast implants. I think I would have liked it better if Dr. Rey had told her he wouldn't do the surgery because she didn't need it and she should go to a shrink instead to figure out why she's so obsessed with her behind. And the preacher with the broken hose (in his penile implant) - didn't Dr. Alter do the surgery? If so, he specializes in genital plastic surgery, and according to his profile on E!'s website, he used to practice urology. They've shown him doing transgender surgeries, so he seems like a good choice of surgeon to me for such a delicate procedure.
Man, I'm hopelessly addicted to this show. I got sucked into the marathon the other day, even though I've seen most of the episodes.

Dr. Rey has had a few redeeming moments on the show, even though he is still a turd. His turning down of the butt woman was one of them. I really didn't expect that. And I was glad that she didn't get up in a huff and immediately find another doctor who would perform the surgery.
Man it was good to see Hayley put her foot down. Finally girl gets some cajones! But she is taking it a bit far. If it were me I would be like, "You can make your own decisions, but don't come crying to me when your father doesn't fulfill your expectations."

This keeps cracking me up. Re Dr. Rey going to Brazil: Duh!? His father contacts him only now, after he's achieved some measure of fame and definite professional success. The father and/or the father's wife is trying to guilt Dr. Rey into giving them money so that the father's wife will live comfortably after the father kicks the bucket. Haley also had a point about danger in Brazil; there are gangs in South America whose sole enterprise is kidnapping for ransom. Even though Dr. Rey is Brazilian, he's a wealthy surgeon who lives in America. He's be a target for sure. Why are the Evanses (husband and wife surgeons with three kids) having a fourth? It doesn't look like they have time for the three they already have.

I think Kanye's remix of Throw Some D's should be Dr. Rey's new theme song on the show. ;D

I am new to this MB but was in on the old TWOP board. I saw all the mess with "insiders", lawyers and the eventual shutting down of the thread. There was a lot of talk about him not being board certified; the problem with that is what board, where?
Many people where asking questions about his drooling over the porn stars, girls in the office he did work on and so forth. My problem with him is the fact that he tries to present himself as a Harvard med school grad , wearing the sweatshirts, etc. He is smarmy in my eyes, a real blowhard.
People where coming on and saying they were personal friends of the Reys, yet s/he called him Dr. Rey. It got pretty hot over there and one day the whole thread was removed, no new ones started. Talk about lawyers, just like the Real Wives thread.
