That was my take too. And what was the deal with Padma? I've never seen her get that vicious about wanting a certain person gone, it was so weird.

Agreed, Padma was strangely intent on getting to Kristen. Gail pointed out that Josie's been failing every time. And she knew it, thus her stammering afterward in the stew room.

Yeah, that was just complete BS that Josie stayed. Josie has consistently had time management issues. I have a hell of a lot more respect for someone who takes on too much, rather than someone who can't do even take full responsibility for just one thing. The way Padma was going after Kristen really was weird.

Padma was on What Happens Live with Kristen phoning in for an exchange. Andy noted that it seemed that Tom and Gail wanted to eliminate Josie and asked Padma to explain her rationale for going after Kristen. Padma's sole issue seem to be that Kristen, as the executive chef, did not properly manage Josie, knowing Josie's deficiencies as a chef. Padma suggested that Kristen should have given Josie very specific instructions like "Plate it like this. Cook that for x amount of minutes." Kristen was totally gracious and took full responsibility as executive chef. Then Padma chimed in, "I know that you're going to be voted Fan Favorite." : /
Interestingly, Dale from Top Chef Season 4 was also on as the bartender. He said that the minute he saw Kristen's ambitious menu, he knew she was going home. He said that in Restaurant Wars, because of all the variables that could go wrong, the executive chef has to scale back the menu.

I'm sorry, but that's bullshit. There was only so much Kristen could do, considering that Josie flat out refused to listen to her. Tom even described her as insubordinate in his blog. In the real world, Kristen could have just fired Josie's ass, but she couldn't do that here. And Josie certainly wasn't suited to a role like FOH. Can you imagine?

I'm not sure Josie's cut out to be a chef. After watching both her Top Chef seasons, I sure wouldn't want to eat at any of her restaurants.

She's a strange one. She has so much confidence and yet nothing ever lands. Best fried chicken? Worst. Good turkey? Raw. I have no idea how the judges will vote after booting Kristen, so I was surprised to see her go.

The best part of seeing Josie get booted tonight was then seeing Kristen exact revenge on LCK.

Oh, thank God. I don't watch LCK but I figured she'd take it. I really would love to hear from some of Josie's restaurant patrons. Maybe she has great sous-chefs. Or maybe she buckles under the cameras. Either way, she's unapologetic for herself and her dishes... she could've been booted off weeks ago.

I think that Josie seems so concerned with being a character and getting her fifteen minutes; perhaps it's making her cooking suffer. Maybe, in the real world, she's less crazy because there aren't cameras around? Heh. I have no idea.
Oh, the second best moment of last night's ep was how the other chefs were so obviously over her. You could tell that Lizzie did not want to play therapist for Josie's supposed guilt and issues.
