At the beginning of her last two pregnancies she got very thin. I'm going to take a not so wild guess and say that we might see a little Infanta/e in the near future.

Letizia's new haircut: 1 2 3 4I think it looks decent in pictures 3 and 4 with the styling, but overall, I can't say I'm a fan of it.

I do not understand what Felipe and Letizia do. It seems like every other day there are new pictures of them, but the pictures always look alike. It's always them rigidly lined up in a receiving line in some dark-paneled room. Sometimes I gather they are presenting an award of some kind (they seem to present a lot of awards), but I can never figure out what the issue is about or what the purpose is. I have no problem figuring out what other royals are doing--Mary attending a health research luncheon, Frederik going to a movie premiere, Maxima giving a speech on microfinance, whatever. But Felipe and Letizia's activities are so ill-defined and mysterious. What causes are they behind? What issues are they addressing? What type of background work do they do? I just don't get it.
And frankly, all of their activities seem really dry and incredibly tedious. If the Spanish monarchy is really in trouble like I'm always reading, don't they need to connect a little more with the people?

But Felipe and Letizia's activities are so ill-defined and mysterious. What causes are they behind? What issues are they addressing? What type of background work do they do? I just don't get it. The only really specific thing Felipe does is represent Spain at presidential inaugurations and opens Cervantes Institutes internationally. Other than that, most of what he does is have 10 or 15 minute "audiences/photo ops" with different groups and open buildings. That's why all of the pictures look alike because it's really all he does. He does a lot of military events in the summer, but like you noticed, he doesn't have any pet projects or organizations. I don't know if that's because the palace doesn't want him to get into anything deeper or if it's because he doesn't really want to himself. Then with Letizia, the palace just started letting her do activities without her husband. That's mostly been harmless photo ops with Save The Children. I'd be surprised if the palace lets her go into anything deeper. They're probably too afraid of the journalist in her coming out. To me, it seems like the plan is to make sure that Felipe and Letizia are as harmless as possible. By not rubbing anyone the wrong way, maybe they're hoping to endear themselves to the public.

She's positively skinny and that new haircut makes her look older. I've never been a fan of her looks, but lately, she's scary.

I keep waiting for Infanta Sofia to grow into her looks, but she's still weird looking and almost bald. I remember thinking Leonor was an unattractive baby, but then she turned into a cutie, so hopefully the same thing will happen to Sofia.
And Letizia's outfit is terrible. Is this what people wear to Easter Mass in Spain? She looks like she's going grocery shopping. When she was a journalist, she dressed very sleekly (in mostly white or black suits) and now she can't seem to get it together. Maybe she feels she needs to look less business like and more princessy? I know princesses are expected to look traditional and colorful (black is a no no except for funerals) so maybe she just has a hard time with that.
