I was 16 when this show was on, and I was just obsessed with it. I wanted Angela to be with Jordan so badly I could hardly stand it.
I bought the box set a few years back and watched it again and thought "what is Angela doing? Jordan is all wrong for her, she should be with Brian".
Ah, the difference ten years make.
So good guys really do finish first... eventually.

My thoughts exactly. Honestly, who gets someone else to write a love letter for them (granted, he had a learning disability, but still)? Poor "Brain."
On re-watching, I cheered during the scene where Angela gives Jordan total 'tude and refuses to give the pen back to him.
My fanwank is that after the last scene we saw in the last ep, Angela basically told Jordan to kiss her ass, went back home and smooched Brian. Mosly because the adult me doesn't want to believe that she stayed with Jordan after she found out that Brian wrote the letter. The teenage me was more realistic: I thought for sure she got it on with Jordan, because that's what my stupid, teenage self would have done.

Brian was such a boring drip though! Boring, whiney, pale with really bad hair. I'll agree that Jordan was not right for her, but Brian? Bleh. There's got to be an in between from the bad boy and the super nerd.

There's got to be an in between from the bad boy and the super nerd. Absolutely!!! I always thought it would have been ridiculously unbelievable if she ended up with Brian, because there are some people whose nerdy qualities cannot be overlooked, love letter or not.

Oh, I loved Rickie to bits. The most likeable character on the show, IMO. His storyline in the Christmas episode killed me. I need to dig out my DVDs stat.
Aw, I didn't think Brian was that bad. Maybe just because my real-life Krakow ended up getting a bit wild in college and losing most of the nerdiness. But Krakow's hair was unbelievably bad. So, so bad.

Yeah, maybe I'm just immature, but I still would go for Jordan Catalano over Brian any day of the week.

Is it wrong that I find Graham more attractive than either of them? And I'm sixteen?
Um.
It's really scary - yet comforting, as I mentioned a few posts back - how much this show can sometimes mirror my own life.

I thought Jordan and Angela were a great couple. The thing I loved about Jordan is that he was not your typical high school "bad boy". He didn't go around beating up the school nerds and talking back to the teacher. When he bothered to show up to class he just sat in the back of the class and slept. He was just kind of a loner and not very bright and I think he may have had a pretty messed up home life. Despite it all he just seemed like a very sweet person.
Angela was the type of girl he needed because she was almost the complete opposite of everything he was. I also loved how he eventually befriended Brian and was there to lend a hand to Rickie when he was having problems.
