Aaron Sorkin's new show starring Matthew Perry, Bradley Whitford, Amanda Peet, and a lot of other well-known actors and hey-it's-that-guys. Based on the 6 minute preview and the team of people involved, I think I will be tuning in.

I cannot wait for this, nbc has been smart with the contracts so Sorkin cannot write too many of the scripts and then hopefully will avoid burnout like what happened on the West Wing, and I love how he writes. I don't care that everyone sounds the same has similar cadence, which is extremely unlikely I just love it. Love his characters love how he has actors he goes to all the time (somebody should start a pool on how long it takes Josh Malina to show up), and I love the actors. I love Tommy Schlamme's name and direction- so much love for everything.
I just hope NBC doesn't fuck it up.

There's already talk that it's going to be moved to avoid competing with CSI and Grey's Anatomy. That makes me sad because I could have just watched The Office and then straight into this.
And hooray for Nate Corddry!

I was just going to say, "Hey! It's Rob Corddry's brother!" I hear they're both not much longer for The Daily Show...

I'm really excited for this show. I love everything Sorkin does, and I have this weird inexplicable love of Amanda Peet. I thought Thursday night was a good spot for it when they announced the line-up--I hate all the stupid CSI shows anyway--but with the Grey's Anatomy move, I think it probably is best for them to put it in another timeslot. Which is unfortunate, because it will make it look as though they don't have faith in the show's chance of survival.
With that said, this is the new show I'm looking forward to the most! And, yeah, yay for Nate Corrdry!

Is it true that it is not living up to people's expectations? I watched the clip and it seemed like it was trying too hard or something. There were no moments that made me shudder - the way The West Wing did every, oh, 2 minutes.

It got panned at the upfronts by everyone, but apparently joey was originally praised at the upfronts so who knows. I think there is a lot of over hyping going on that Sorkin's two previous shows didn't get.

The jokes to me seemed...tired. You know, during The West Wing's Sorkin years I loved that I could never predict the punchline. But in the trailer, I saw nearly all of them coming. Even the guy losing it at the beginning felt sort of forced. I wonder if Sorkin is burnt out. I love anything Sorkin, so I admit I am disappointed. But on the heels of the West Wing, it'll be hard for anything to live up to expectation, I suppose.

Moved to Monday Night so it wouldn't have to face GA and CSI.
