And there were actual, genuinely funny lines in it! That weren't all smarmy and pretentious! I really do like that episode. I think the cast is finally clicking and the writers have gotten the characters settled into their roles.

Wow, I thought they'd shoot the extra episodes off to DVD. I kinda fell behind on the last few episodes, way back when, so I dunno if I'll bother catching up. It's too bad, I liked the show at first, but it did get awfully, I don't know...obsessive with it's romantic storylines?
It's too bad it got cancelled, though. I think with time it could have really improved, and I firmly believe Matthew Perry should always be employed, heh.

I think it was getting better. The Steven Weber story line was getting interesting. The show was suffocated by its own self-importance.

I'm not watching the rest of the episodes, because I started to really dislike it. I feel like there was so much relationshipy stuff and not enough behind the scenes of the network stuff.

I was only half-paying attention, but this whole episode go without having Peet, Whitford, or Perry in it? I don't remember seeing them.
I also thought it was a pretty good episode, because the last couple before the big hiatus were awful.

I thought the behind the scenes stuff was pretty good and the stuff with Alison Janney's character. If they'd kept the episode to that it would have actually been pretty good, but the Harriet/Matt nonsense reminded me why I began to lose patience in this show.
Yep Danny and Matt were mentioned, but neither they nor Amanda Peet's character appeared in the episode.

I mostly liked it. It could have been rehabilitated, IMO. I did some looking on the NBC site but didn't find anything solid, and I didn't even know where to start looking for any kind of factual info at TwoP because the posts are full of insider talk and references to previous posts, codewords and putdowns. It hurts my brain to go there any more.

I happened to catch tonights episode, even though I haven't caught one in months and months. I have to say: this show is really...not about a sketch comedy show anymore, eh?
It's really a shame. Like you said, Pamster, the show could have been retooled and been a lot better if it had been given a chance for a second season. But I think that Aaron Sorkin, much as I like him, was the wrong fit for this show.

I'm ashamed of myself because I saw that it was on last night and watched a couple of minutes, didn't know whether it was a new or old ep or even what it was about anymore so I gave up and turned it off. I feel very disloyal to Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford. And Timothy Busfield.
