How ironic.

Plus, FNL is apparently *really* good but floundering and seems like it has mainstream crowdpleaser appeal. And Studio 60 is getting hurt (even more) in the ratings by going up against Monday Night Football. So I guess they're counterprogramming real football wit fake football.
Oh yeah, Poehler's was awesome. I thought the whole point was that they were better than SNL is today. Not so much, guys.

FNL is a really good show (on par with the movie IMO) so I hope NBC gives it a chance. I liked "Fields of Gold" and Christine Lahti rocks but S60 is just so overbearing.

Ha! I did that too - and I've never done that before. This was the show I was most anticipating this season but it sucks. Still love Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford - that first episode when they were at the awards show together was the best. I think they should be ripped away from Sorkin and given their own 1/2 hour comedy.
Harriet is the biggest problem with the show, imo. Wrong actress for the part, and a very badly written character.
And not to insult Christine Lahti, she's very attractive for her age (and I'm around her age, I think), but thinking that unbuttoning her blouse is how to win them over and get their attention? They are in show business, surrounded I suppose by many beautiful women with racks so it didn't seem believable to me that a) Danny would make that comment or that b) Matt would really be distracted by her 'rack'.

From the recent EW article, besides J. Simp, we may expect Larry David and Beyonce.
I can't believe it made the list of 5 Must-Watch New Shows. But they also put that Sarah Paulson is the best character, so obviously they're insane and/or on Sorkin's payroll.

Maybe they think it's the bee's knees since it's a show with self-involved "insider" humor. So, of course, it must be great. Which is why I've come to hate it.

Yawn.
I'm not sure why Nate Cordry had to deliver a twenty-minute history lesson on a fictional theatre to his parents. Or what the Hollywood Blacklist has to do with a wrap party.
I love Jordan more and more each week, even when she's needy. Besides, she's a fun drunk.
Personally, I thought it would've been more interesting if the vapid hollywood girls were ruthless and smart social climbers.
Sorkin? Studio 60 (the show within the show) *doesn't* exist. Therefore we *don't* have any emotional connection to its rich, awesome history...because there is NONE.
Sigh.
Also, when is hiring the guy that no one laughs at at a comedy club and desperately "needs discipline" a *good* idea? Oh, right, because the masses are unwashed idiots so if they hate it, it must be gold.
Lauren Graham must be *so thrilled* to have been given such an awesome part.

I thought last night's show was the best one so far.
The Nate Cordry history lesson reminded me what a lot of my friends had to do when their parents didn't really respect what they did. Coming from a blue collar background, I have seen this all too often where the Dad thinks the son is just wasting his time being funny on stage instead of getting a real job.

I really didn't like yesterday's show. The Blacklist thing was out of the blue. The fictional history thing was boring. I did find the black comic part initially interesting, until they hired the not remotely funny guy.
Still hate Amanda Peet.
