That wasn't revealed. Some had clearly had their powers for at least a little while: Claire's multiple attempts at checking her indestructability, Isaac's painting from 3 weeks prior, Niki's feelings of being watched (by her other self), etc.
The eclipse may have put something in motion, but it didn't bring their powers out for the first time.

I adore this show and have been following it for quite some time. You can get a lot of information from the official/unofficial sites and forums like: 9thWonders.com and Heroes-TV.comEverything is connected. That's pretty much how things are going to be for the duration of the show, so very much like Lost. Spoiler/ Did anyone else notice the Mr. Liberman connection with Niki's mob connection and Nathan's phone call to clear his mother's name for shoplifting? Yeah, I think it's Claire (The cheerleaders) dad./spoiler

My husband is a HUGE comic book/superhero fan, and I also like some of the genre, so we watched it. The production values, the cast, the premise--they were all fine to quite good. For some reason, though, we just couldn't get into it. I couldn't work up any emotional investment in the characters; I didn't dislike them, I just didn't care. We'll probably wacth at least one more episode to see if our feelings change.

I have a really pointless question/nitpick. Why was the cheerleader doing her little stunts in her cheerleading uniform? How is that gonna look when a pep rally rolls around? That was bugging me.
Other than that, I think I like this show. I'm not sure yet if it will keep my attention, but it's not bad.

That's what I kept wondering, too. I mean, I get why the writer and/or director had her dressed that way, but why did the character do it? I kept saying, "But...aren't cheerleader uniforms pretty expensive?"
We'll definitely be watching again. Not sure if I love it or not, but I think my husband does.

Okay, now I am confused about the timeline of the show. I get that Hiro is back where he started so the artist is still alive. But is everyone effected by the timeline shift? I'm guessing no since the politician wasn't celebrating a win, was he? Did that family still get murdered and the cop arrested?
I'm assuming that only those who came in contact with Hiro are in the future timeline. But I did have to think about it.

indy, my guess is that most of the ep was in October, including the LA cop. Hiro jumped ahead 5 weeks and we saw what would be happening then (barring any changes): Isaac was dead (I think at the hands of the mysterious Patient Zero/ serial killer (Siler?) who also did the kiling out in LA -- back in October), Nathan won the election, and the end of NYC was moments away.
Hiro will be back in October, when Nathan's still running for office, Isaac's still alive, and the painting of NYC about to be ruined hasn't come to pass.

I'm liking it even more this week. Vegas mom's power still confuses me a little, but I like the mystery of it. And I thought using Hiro to forecast the future was pretty clever. And no wonder it has such a comic book influence--Jeph Loeb is a producer! Here's hoping the suckitude from Smallville doesn't follow him over. And I don't like long hair on men, but Mohinder is gorgeous. My knees went weak a little when I saw this picture of him.

He looks so young in that picture! I like him better with the longer hair. He is just beautiful.

That guy is so good looking. Sadly, I can't seem to find much of a biography for him or any pics.
