I think him staying is true to character though. If he left and was successful in college, that wouldn't be realistic. That's the thing about FNL, it's about being real. They are saying that he will come back in as many episodes as they can. Good, he's one of my favorite characters and of course being easy on the eye doesnt hurt. That said, I still think his being there is a slight bit of a stretch. I wonder why the actor is so devoted to the show other than what it did for his career. I read an interview with him a while back and he said that he was very conscious of what FNL had done for his career and that he would never say no to the show if he could help it. So I guess he's just really, really grateful.

That's very awesome of him. I wish him the best. Everyone on that show has more talent than half of the current "IT" stars and they deserve to hit the big time.

He seems like a sweetie and from everything I've heard, not a player.

Surprisingly, he's the only celeb that I don't want to gossip about. I'll just say this though, he's a really nice guy. That's what I've heard across the board.
The episode tonight was really weak in terms of the acting. The first time in the show's history that I actually cringed at the acting, especially in the scenes with Becky and her mom.
There were some really nice moments though, curtesy of Billy and Tim.

Question--when and what channel is this show on? It's on DirecTV, on my tv it's channel 101, I assume it would be the same for everyone else that's watching it on cable. I'd comment on tonight's episode, but I'm still wiping my tears from the montage at the end with Dan Auerbach's song "When the Night Comes" playing during it. And I never thought I'd say this, but I hate the Dillon Panthers!!! ETA to comment on the final episode of the season: Am I the only one who watched tonight's episode? The ending was cliche has hell, but I still loved it! I loved the "I need to find my own Chicago", to Eric's line about the 47-yard field goal, to Tami coming home and the rest of the Taylor's were already decorating for Christmas. I'll miss this little show and I can't wait for Season 5. Go Lions!!!

Did anyone have mixed feelings about the finale?

I've been watching religiously.
I'm surprised how much I like the new characters...except for Becky. I'd like to throw her under a bus.
Last night's episode was good, but the parts with Julie and Tammy were irritating me. I'd rather hear about the kids at East Dillon and Tim Riggins.
