I'm a new watcher. I got caught up via DVD's about a week before Season 2 started. I FUCKING love this show! It's so well acted, written, directed, etc. It's just perfect.

thanks all for the DVD heads up! I'm going to buy that tomorrow. It must be noted - I *never* buy DVD's. This show is too good not to see.
If they cancel this I'll be crushed. I can't believe how good it is.

I highly recommend the DVDs too! I bought the DVDs having never seen the show before, just having read so much this summer about how awesome this show was. The first season was one of the best seasons of TV I've ever seen. Still a little disappointed in this season, but even with a drop off, it's still better than most.

Okay, I have watched the entire first season on DVD. So glad I did. What a great show!
This is such a nice change from all the twisted storyline crap of LOST and Heroes. I used to love those shows but the writers got all twisted up in their stupid plotlines and their own hype. FNL seems a much better show and definitely more fun to watch.
I too would like to know if there was any fallout from Lyla driving cars into each other at her father's dealership. One other question....that Garrity guy is so irritating, I'm surprised the Coach would trust him (Coach Taylor) to orchestrate a comeback for him.

I know! Out of all the men in Dillon, he's the only one that coach can be friends with? Odd.
Although, I will say, he's become less annoying to me since his fall from grace. I know he's at fault, but he's human, and I think the actor does an amazing job with a very dislikeable character.

This is definitly one of the best shows on tv. The pilot had me going hmmmm, but the second episode was great! Matt and Julie breaking up was so sad, they were the sweetest last season. And I have to admit my Lyla/Tim love. They are hot!

Buddy's life IS the Dillon Panthers. I would trust him with getting my job back too! Also, isn't he the head of the Boosters? I think he knows that Buddy is sneaky and has some pull that could get him back in the game.

I'm a little disappointed with the Tyra and Landry storyline. Is that it? They found the body and the case is closed? Are they not going to investigate how he died and why he has a huge lump on the back of his head? I know he was a bad guy, but they still killed the guy and worst of all, went ahead to try and cover it up. Why do I feel like Coach McGregor is going to end up biting Coach Taylor's ass in the end. Like he'll be the Coach in the final game or something or Coach Taylor will need Coach McGregor's help in the end. Although, I can't say that I'm not happy to see Coach back in Dillon. And Jason just breaks my heart, he kills me every time. ETA: I'm glad to see old Julie is still there or at least a part of hers is. I still want the Taylor's to adopt me, even if baby Grace looks like an alien to me. (I know I'm mean!)

I don't think the Tyra/Landry storyline is over. I believe the case closed was referring to the fact that they had "caught" Tyra's attacker from last season, based on the description she had given. From what I understood, the police will still be trying to identify the killer.
I thought last night's episode was really good. Taylor Kitsch was outstanding in Mexico, I like how he can transmit a ton of emotion without saying a word. My heart is breaking for him and for Jason, because you just know that this is not going to end well.

Like everyone in here, I saw the DVD. Riveting stuff!
This season, I kind of miss Landry's eclectic life before he tried out for the Panthers. He was different. Now he's just another jock.
As long as they show Taylor Kitsch (Tim) every week, I'm happy.
