Me too. Mostly for the loss of his story ... partly for the loss of his pretty. But how good was it when Barksdale found out that Bell was the one to inform on him? Sweet justice.

When they killed Wallace, I cried for hours. I'm not even kidding. I knew it was coming, and I still cried like a real, live person I knew had died.

After seeing the first 3 episodes, if McNulty dies, I will not cry at all. I might even drink some good champagne to celebrate.

HaHaHa CarolinaGirl McNulty is off his rocker isn't he?? I love The Wire for making me care about drug dealer’s damnit!! I hated Bodie after Wallace died, but then when Bodie bit the dust....I was like "no, Bodie." You see good characterization and 3 dimensional characters can be fleshed out, most writers are just too lazy to do it. I was torn up when Dee died, Wallace, Bodie.

As for the Hotness of the cast, big fat word. I think the Wire has one of the hottest or at least magnetic, charismatic cast to ever grace television. And I must say, after watching the first few episodes of season five, the pretty continues; if I were a teenager, I'd be all over Mike and Dukie, yes even Dukie.

lpatrice I'm all about Carver, myself. I think Seth Gillian, Dominic West, and Idris Elba are the holy trinity of hot.

Carver is hot, and has turned into a fine detective. I just love pretty much everyone who has ever been on The Wire. Personally, I'll always have a special place in my heart for crazy ass WeeBey, who was just all kinds of awesome. One of my favorite scenes is his snort and look of disgust after being told there was no more potato salad, but he could get cole slaw; this of course was after he confessed to multiple murders, and agreed to confess to more for another sandwich and some potato salad. Man I love this show.

Carver has become hot. He was an asshole for the first couple of seasons but, wow, in Season 4 he just became lovely. When he had to drop that poor boy off at the children's home I just about lost it. I think though I had a hard time warming to Carver because he had previously played the crazy guard-turned-inmate on OZ and I always was thinking, you're supposed to be in jail!

I also have a lot of (platonic) love for Bubbles. Did you guys read that New Yorker pieces where Andre Royo (the actor) was all dressed up as Bubbles and some random street junkie went up to him and gave him his hit saying, "shit man, you look like you need it more than me! Apparently Royo calls that his "street oscar."

Carver was a dick the first couple of seasons but you have to admit that Carver & Herc in season one were comedy gold. I could watch a series based around that. They were like the Abbot & Costello of Baltimore.

And lpatrice, I think the actor who plays Dukie is going to grow up to be a very handsome man.

I saw a print interview with Domenick Lombardozzi, and IIRC, during the filming of season 1, he and Seth shared an apartment or house. He seemed to think that helped them play off of each other during their scenes. It was comedy gold. I would love to find that Simon and Co. finally gave DL what he wanted, good character growth for Herc.

I know I'm a party of 1, but I love Herc. I have since he was sweet to Bodie's Grandma in season 1. No matter what idiotic thing he does, I'll think back to him being nice to Granny Bodie and I get all gooey inside. I love a man who is sweet to old ladies.
