Another good "Isn't Ross an idiot?" show was the "unagi" martial arts mad skillz.
"Ah...salmon skin roll."

I forgot about the "unagi" episode! The closing credit where the Phoebe and Rachel look-alikes chase Ross down the block kills me every time. And DS was great in the scene where he asks the instructor to help jump his ex-wife.
I think that was the season after 9/11. Another good DS episode was the one where Ross has a fake accent, and Rachel calls from the University of Fake Accents. It reminds me of a professor I had my sophomore year who spoke with the fakest Australian accent ever. I think he taught medical terminology or something. You would be surprised how many people actually go around with faux accents.

And that episode was one of the few times that JA was really funny to me, when you overhear her having the conversation in the eastern Indian accent - "Oh, yes yes, New Dehli is very nice this time of year..."

Hey, maybe y'all can help me out - sometimes in reruns there's a shot in the opening credits of Phoebe making funny faces with a little pug dog puppy - can anyone tell me what season and episode that is? It looks adorable and I have no idea in what context she's acting goofy with a puppy.

The cheesecake episode.. Not a response to Wol's question, just stating what one of my favorite episodes was.

It looks adorable and I have no idea in what context she's acting goofy with a puppy. I think it was the episode where Phoebe's weird brother asks her to serve as a surrogate. Phoebe then visits her real mother (Teri Garr) for advice, and her mom lets Phoebe borrow a pug to show her how hard it is to give away something you love. That dog was so adorable! I wanted to run out and get a pug after seeing the episode.

Not sure of the season, but I can tell you the context - it's after Frank and Alice ask her to be the surrogate mother for them. Terri Garr, as her mother, and in an effort to make sure Phoebe really REALLY thinks it through, brings her the adorable puppy to bond with for three days - then she has to give the puppy back. TG's point is - if you think it's this hard to give a puppy back, imagine what it's like to be pregnant for nine months and have to give a baby up, since that's exactly what TG had to do when she gave birth to Phoebe and Ursula. ETA: Elin has faster fingers!
