Did a search and couldn't find the thread.
I know there was one, because I remember posting in it! What happened?
So sad to see that they are dragging out Reid's (or is it Reed) drug problem still. I bet it'll last to May sweeps and be involved in some life or death ep somehow. I really enjoy that actor. He's really grown since being on the show. I used to find him kind of wooden, but he's showing a lot more range now.
Loved that guest cop. I hope A.J. gives him a call and has him consult on some case in Washington. Would like to see him again!

Yeah, that guest cop's slow drawl reminded me of the King of the Hill ep where they visit Bill's family in "Nawleans" and Bobby develops this slow, Southern drawl.
Why does every cop show have to have one of their own become a victim of the very crimes they're fightin' and subsequently become addicted to drugs because they can't deal with the trauma? And yes, it will come to a head (during sweeps) where Reed makes an almost fatal error because his judgement and/or response is impaired because of his drug problem. This is his wake-up call and he goes to rehab. The next season will begin with him magically "cured".
As for the show, I like the characters, although Thomas Gibson's face must hurt from looking so grim all. the. time. The computer geek gal reminds me of my pastor's wife. On TWOP, they naturally hate the new girl (she's new! she's replacing a beloved character! we haaaaate her!), and can't let up on her nose.

I'm not keen on 'new girl' either, but I just have to remember the 'original girl'. She was awful! And ya, the nose is a bit of a distraction.
The show will have jumped the shark when Shemar Moore and computer geek girl eventually hookup.

The new girl's nose is better than the old girl's hair!
I FLOVE Reed. The actor was a male model. Isn't that strange?
Mandy Patinkin is hot. [/shallow]

I'm confused about last night's ep:
1) The first family lived in a bungalow. Why didn't they just go out the bedroom window instead of all crawling through the burning house? There were no flames in the bedroom?
2) Why did the man with the 2 children in the car not just back up through the garage doors? Was the car 'deactivated' or something?
3) Stop, drop, roll dude! instead of flailing all over when on fire.
That said, it was nice to see Thomas Gibson show some emotion for a change. He was excellent in this episode.

I think with #2 the car didn't start, although now that I think about it I don't recall them specifically showing him trying to start the car. And with #3, I'm not sure how many people in that situation would remember to stop, drop, and roll!
But number 1 made no sense.
I have to say, I've only been watching this show since the Superbowl episode, and I'm thinking about renting the DVDs to catch up, but sometimes I find the victim's perspective stuff really hard to take.

Reid's drug problem, from what I've heard, is pretty much over.
Dis, I'd get the DVD's as the first season has some really good episodes. Plus, I have to mention the "Meet Matthew Gray Gubler" as I love the man, he's hot, Reid's awesome, and he sent me a personal email a couple weeks ago in reply to one I sent him.

I have to say his website is pretty darned cool. Nothing fancy or anything, in fact super simplistic since all you can do is scroll, scroll, scroll and some more scrolling, but everything you see comes from him personally and no one else that comes in between.

I've remained spoiler free, so I don't have a clue what happens to Mandy Patinkin's character. They really left it hanging last week. I hope he doesn't commit suicide, would be a horrible way to get rid of that character, although I have a feeling the writers, etc are so angry with him they might just do it to ensure he can't return?

Nope, it's been kept pretty quiet. But the writers have a right to be angry. He could have put his notice in before filming started. He has done this before with series, so in a way the production company took a risk in hiring him in the first place.
I think he should go join a monastery.
