Ewww, they all look like creepy CGI Angelina Jolie in that awful Beowulf flick. That pic with Anne's legs all open and out there in that chair made me laugh. Yeah, that's TOTALLY how she would have posed for a portrait. *eyeroll* I know this show isn't exactly concerned with historical accuracy--and I love it for its sleazy, bodice-ripping, happily trash vibe--but some things just cross the line and blow away my suspension of disbelief.
Also, they could not look less like the people they're supposed to be portraying. The casting for this was so awful. The casting for The Other Boleyn Girl was just as bad, but the costume and makeup people at least made a go at trying to make the actors look the part, and halfway succeeded. The costume and makeup people for this went, "Eh, she's got dark hair... and he's... um, a guy... whatevs close enough."

I watched the season finale of Season 1 tonight and I can't take my eyes off Natalie Dormer's nostrils. Really, they are almost as big as her eyes. Loved Wolsey's little soliloquy before he offed himself.

ETA: does anyone know of a place online where I could find that last scene of Henry and Anne in the woods from the season one finale? That was pretty hot IMO.

I don't think it's airing here in Canada until the fall and I don't know a thing about torrents so I'm outta luck. I think this show is full-on melodrama with questionable choices to the overall storyline and characters but I love this period in history so I watch anyway.

I watched the first two episodes 'on demand' already and I feel like a bad girl but the actor who plays Thomas More is frakin' hot IMO.

He'd be so much hotter as Henry V then John Rhys Myers (that's the actor's name right? Or is it the guy who played the Dwarf in LOTR?) |

The last scene was hot as hell. As much as I hate them, I actually felt a little bit sorry for them there!
Can someone explain the masturbation scene at the beginning to me? Why would he do it into a cloth with that....other dude...holding it for him? WTF?
