Er, am I the only person who just found out that Glenn Scarpelli was gay? I knew he was gay before I even knew what "gay" was! ;D

(Of course, now I'm all, "Well, DUH, he's gay!" I just never thought about it before! ;D) ETA: He's still cute as a button.

Whaaaaa?
I guess not, since I hadn't heard a thing about that.
If that show were on the air now and someone told me that, i wouldn't be surprised. But that is something that totally went over my head as a child. I was completely floored when someone told me that "Munroe" from Too Close for Comfort was gay, and he was played by Jm J. Bullock. I had absolutely no gaydar as a child.

I liked Schneider's vest, his little mustache and the way he worked that toothpick. That saucy little 'stache of his aways freaked me out as a child. I'm not sure, he just looked like he would tie you to the tracks of a train and snicker with malevolent glee. The toothpick somehow made that all the more disquieting. I was a strange child.

Fuckin' Bonnie Franklin, what a horrible actress. I also hated Schneider, for he was an idiot.

This annoying little kid had an AIDS infected lover in the 80's? Where have I been (apparently off somewhere getting old)? He's still 13 to me. I always wanted Valerie's brown suede blazer that she wore all the time on the show.. she was so cool in the 70's.

Er, am I the only person who just found out that Glenn Scarpelli was gay? WHAT?!!? I had no clue. Well, that totally explains why I was crushing on him on this show. My mom had most of Ann Romano's wardrobe. I hope she wore a bra though! No kidding. Bonnie's southward bound boobies distracted me on every episode. God! That character was so self righteous sometimes. (Not that that has anything to do with wearing a bra.) Does anyone remember how the series ended?

No, no bra. And her favorite thing through most of the late 70s-early 80s was that fucking zipper-up nightgown bathrobe thingie that Ann Romano always wore. And she'd yell a lot, too. Like I said, when she gets going, me and Sugarbear tell her she's "Ann-ing"! "What? What? What?"
