Glenn Scarpelli sounds like one cool dude. Have we mentioned the episode where Julie and Barbara dressed up like Elton John and Kiki Dee and sang "Don't Go Breaking My Heart?" I thought that was the coolest thing EVER. I always think of this episode! When I first saw it, I had no idea who Elton John or Kiki Dee were. So I was very disappointed that Barbara wasn't the girl. And now in retrospect, you realize that Elton was the girl. *rimshot* I've only seen the early episodes, even in reruns, so I never got to see the ones with Glenn Scarpelli. Although I saw a clip of him on American Bandstand (?) singing an early Janet Jackson song. It was on that VH1 child star special.

Was that the same episode with Max and Julie singing "Love and Marriage" and Alex sining "Duke of Earl" and Ann doing some Shirley Temple tap dance? That last thing was all kinds of squirm-worthy badness.

My family watched this show (and "Alice") religiously on Sunday nights (surprising, seeing as how my mom was such a prude). I'm racking my brain but can't remember building super Schneider's catchphrase. What was it? Yes, this has been bothering me. I don't think anyone's guessed it here, but didn't he used to swing the door open, lean into the apartment and go, "Hey, hey, HEY!"? Or was that Ted from The Mary Tyler Moore Show?
