She seems massively unpleasant to me. Doesn't she? There is something just under the surface...I can't imagine it'd take a lot to expose. Exactly. Kate seems like one of those people who has it all yet is just terribly angry and bitter. Like, she has money, she's supposedly beautiful (although her far apart eyes creep me out) she's perfectly healthy far as I know-she should be super nice and grateful. Yet she seems the type who'd go ballistic if something tiny happened with to her. I can imagine someone lightly bumping into her at the farmers market and her screaming "Watch where you're going, you stupid asshole!" at the top of her lungs.* Part of it surely is she's just spoiled but I think it's more than that. Like you say there is a weird unpleasant nasty person very close to the surface. *Unless it was either a famous person or a paparazzi was there. |

I don't know anything about her as a person, but she's physically painful to watch, she's such a bad actress. Holy shit that was funny. I wish more celebrity articles were like that. It makes me miss "Sassy" magazine which did that all the time (probably why it folded). Remember when they outright made fun of Tiffani Amber Thiessen for her ignorance about Shakespeare? |

That was some mean shit and looking back I don't think Tiffani really deserved it. (Except for the totally stupid "I like lesser known plays like 'Hamlet'" quote.) I cannot imagine anything like that being published in a magazine today. That article made Kate's Guardian article look like sunshine and lollipops. I recall Tiffani's agent wrote SASSY an angry letter and now I can see why. I WOULD absolutely love to see a modern-day reporter go in like that to someone who really deserves it, like Hudson, or maybe Paltrow. Can you imagine if an interviewer accused her of being a snob and an idiot? She'd probably sue, and worse, she'd probably win. |

Holy cow, that Tiffani Amber Theissen article was so mean and over the top. Especially since Tiffani came off so friendly and nice, as well as professional. That bitter little writer did a shite job of showing not telling. It's soooo 90s in its almost goth-y Janeane Garafolo rage.
The difference to me is night and day. Kate sounded like a snot out the gate, and Tiffani sounded super cordial and accommodating. For all the author's bitching about Saved By the Bell, she sure sounds like she never left high school herself.
I can't believe I just felt so strongly for TAT.

SASSY actually did have some very funny articles but I remember even at the time (I was young, the original version folded right after I turned14) I remember thinking "you people are just mean bitches" about the writers. I will never not laugh at how they interviewed Andrew Shue and he spent the article talking about his smart he was, so they captioned a picture of him looking off into the distance as "Andrew Shue, thinking real hard." It's difficult to believe a celebrity publication like that ever existed, these days.
Back on topic: Kate won a bunch of the usual end of the year style awards in the rags but has anyone else noticed her sense of style has gotten really lousy? She used to look great; that was the only thing she had going for her. I swear she only still gets these style awards out of habit. I'm gonna try to dig up some pictures.

Gosh I didn't even notice her legs because I was so busy looking at her glossy inflated inner tube lips. between Goldie and Donatella "I cannot move my face, my eyes are sunk into my head and my lips are just like Goldie's" Versace that is one terrifying advertisment for "This is what what happens you refuse to age naturally, girls!" Once someone said "Donatella looks like a puppet that got stepped on" and I swear I think of that and laugh whenever I see her. Kate and her "Looky, can you see my bum?" is the least scary part of that pic of the three of them.
You're right though, why are Goldie's legs such a mess? It does look like terrible varicose veins but that's weird. She's obviously not against any procedures that could zap them!

Don't know if it's varicose veins, looks a lot like sun damage. Tanning is hell on your skin no matter where on your body is exposed.
