I loved that white gown she wore at the Golden Globes. Not sure why she was even there, but you knew she was by wearing that gown. She never carries a purse......that always makes me go hmmmm.

I definitely go back and forth on my opinion about her. On one hand, she seems like a cool person to hang with, but at the same time she's only be cool if she was the one being the center of attention and the second she wasn't, she'd flip a switch. Same with her style for me. Some of her things make my jaw drop (her floral Golden Globe Valentino come to mind) and others leave me scratching my head.
I do like that her family is so tight. Wyatt is spitting image of Kurt. Yowza!

I love the white dress with the "sparkly ribs"; I think it's stunning and looks great on her. The other three links are meh, but mostly because I get twitchy around asymmetrical stuff.
As for Goldie's legs, I think she either needs panty hose or some sort of tone-evening spray. I have no excuses for her lips. I've heard that type of Real Housewives face described as an old leather purse that was rescued from a fire.

If that is how I come across, then I apologize. This is a board where we are encouraged to share opinions and debate, as long as it's kept civil. To me, your posts have come across very negative toward some celebs' addictions, insecurities, and physical appearance Maybe I should be asking a mod this but I don't want to come off as a tattletale so I will ask you (or anyone else who wants to answer): is this the kind of board where people generally find it inappropriately mean and hurtful if you say things like the Willis girls are ugly or Goldie Hawn had too much plastic surgery? Because I'm new here and I realize some boards don't like that and I don't want to make people uncomfortable. However I have had an incredibly hard life physically (from birth) and there is just no way I will ever feel sunny and happy towards spoiled celebrities, or post that way. Actually I do love Angelina Jolie! (because of her charity work; I don't care about the stuff with Aniston, never did) but I realize that could be problematic since she is generally not too popular (everywhere...not just here). Just wondering if this is the kind of board for me or if I should stick with Dlisted and the posters' usual "I hate this fucking asshole" attitudes towards celebs.

I'd say this board is made up of all kinds and opinions. That, sometimes, leads to a little tension here and there, but it's all good... Your cloudy views are perfectly welcome here!

I do like that her family is so tight. Wyatt is spitting image of Kurt. Yowza! I think that's THE best thing about her. They're always vacationing together and seem to actually enjoy each other's company. It's the one thing I find relatable about her.

I hope you settle in and find your comfort zone, widdlesarah.
I've been a member for nearly a decade, yet rarely post because I truly enjoy reading the thoughts, opinions, and snark from the other posters who are usually so much more hip than me.
Yet every once in awhile I hit my stride. Like that weird period where I felt shunned/shamed for liking Gwyneth Paltrow . . . and yet felt overwhelmingly "liked" for my scorching hot hatred for Terence "Baby Wipes" Howard. I swear I felt the computer side-eye for days after admitting my Goop love. But my luck soon turned the moment I confessed my suspicion of men with processed hair.
The Greecies are an open and forgiving bunch.
Topic? Kate looked good in some fitness commercial I saw this week.

widdlesarah, since you are asking what kind of board this is, etc, I will say that considering you joined barely more than a week ago, you have posted a LOT and, while that's not inherently a bad thing at ALL, I think when you are joining any type of new community (this one included) it can be useful to take some time to observe patterns of communication before leaping into them headfirst. I think this is especially true here because the parts of the board where relationships are really established is inaccessible until you have an account, so you have no way of knowing them until you join. To be clear, I am (obviously) not a mod and I appreciate that your posts are well written and clearly thought out.
On topic: I don't find Hudson especially objectionable, but I still remember finding her diet for Skeleton Key appalling, as mentioned upthread. All that for a movie no one remembers or cared about.

exiled! It's okay! I'm the one forever on everyone's bad side for more or less sticking up for Kim Kardashian. Somehow I decided that is my cause in this life. *sticks tongue out at pretty much everyone* I've also a real emoticon addiction. I overuse emoticons constantly, but this group is pretty dang forgiving. widdlesarah, welcome. You will find your comfort zone! Topic- I still don't wanna believe "Madness" is about Kate, like, at all.

Ha! Occasional Kardashian semi-apologists unite! Mostly posting to agree with the others: I think that since people come for the conversation, there's a lot to be said for tone, real or perceived. I'm not a mod, either, but I'd say the general norms are a) multiple disagreeing opinions are fine, b) gender-based negative comments (e.g. slut/whore/man-trapping vagina) are not encouraged. There are probably more nuanced, interesting things, but that's what I have now. Welcome, and have fun discovering the hot spots Kate Hudson: she doesn't seem that into acting. May she find success in shilling things. ETA: Specifically in re: the Willis fam, I think it's a truth universally acknowledged that Demi's daughters have faces that are more ephemerally shaped than hers, and it's okay to say so, but there's an invisible line between, "stop trying to make Rumer happen" and "yeah, that's enough." It's hard to say where that line, and others like it, is. One thing I like about this board is that there's often a greater weight on the scales toward kindness.
