Winona really can't escape from 1995, can she? I was thinking this just now when I finally gave in and checked out what the fuss was all about with her facial reactions at the SAG Awards. She was all: WTF face, calm down dude, it's not that serious, you would know this if you were as cool and disaffected as I am. Winona will forever be a 90's chick. |

There's a theory that some people don't move on from a specific look or hairstyle because they are trying to hang on to the period of their life when they were happiest. Winona's glory days were in 1995 and it was mostly downhill for her after that. It's kind of sad that even with her recent career upswing, she is still blatantly and aggressively hanging on to 1995, down to the velvet necklace that Janeane Garofalo made fun of in Reality Bites.
