I'm really surprised and a bit disappointed that his Oscar nom is for Blood Diamond rather than The Departed. I mean, I'm happy he's going to the Oscars at all, but I really thought he was so much better--SO awesome--in TD.

I just watched The Departed last night and was blown away. I have never been attracted to Leo; he's just not my type. I always thought he was just okay and never understood the Leo craziness after Titanic. But I'm sitting there watching The Departed, and suddenly I said to myself, "Shit, Leo is fucking hot in this movie". And a few other times I had to say "hot!" to myself while watching it. I don't know what it was, but I was finding Leo very sexually attractive in that movie. Ahem. Anyway, I really enjoyed his performance. I think I'll go watch The Beach again. I haven't seen that in ages.

I'll probably regret asking this, but what is the whole Pussy Posse thing about? I'm totally out of the loop.

I just watched The Departed and thought he was fantastic. He should gotten a nomination for it, not Mark Wahlberg.

JDub, here's a New Yorker profile of Leo and his circle of hangers-on from 1998. He's always denied that they ever called themselves the "Pussy Posse", but given the way they acted up in clubs everywhere and chased women, it was very easy for people to believe. He's very fortunate that all happened before the age of the camera phone and gossip bloggers.

I just saw The Departed, he was fantastic. I don't get why he was nominated for Blood Diamond instead of TD, but I will totally be rooting for him anyway.
