Brian, Donna and Andy are no longer on the show. They left to be STAHS! Are you saying that they left TAPS and that GH: International sprang from the original TAPS? |

I've watched a couple episodes of this show and was wondering... Do they ever find any supernatural happenings or just debunk them?

They do find things they cannot explain and every now and again they will come out and say that they think a place is haunted, but their MO is to go in and see if they can debunk everything and when they can't that's when they go for the supernatural explanations. But more often than not they are able to debunk stuff.

Just a reminder that Ghost Hunters International premieres tonight for those who want to check it out.
I'm just wondering what an investigation will be like without Jason and Grant anchoring the team - especially since so many of them seem so skittish.

Yeah, I've wondered that too kostgard. It'll be interesting to see and a new Ghost Hunters with Jason and Grant airs tonight as well (I think they're going back to the St. Augustine lighthouse!).

I enjoyed the St. Augustine Lighthouse eps. I had never seen the first one over the lighthouse. The movements on the lighthouse steps was a little freaky! I have to give Steve credit for at least attempting to climb up the lighthouse the second time around. I also have to give Kris credit for crawling into the little space. Somehow, I don't think Donna would be willing to do that. I was amused by Jason's and Grant's attempts to pull Kris out (especially when Grant got stuck himself). The evidence I found the most interesting was the heat image of the something actually going across the lighthouse because it matched up when Grant saying he saw shadows. But at the same time I couldn't help but wonder if maybe it was a bird or something. Also, why was Kris investigating by herself? I thought they had some rule where no on can be by themselves.
Ghost Hunters: International? Meh. I missed Jason and Grant and their bantar. God help me I even missed Steve! STEVE! Maybe I will enjoy the show more once I adjust to Rob. GHI entered Most Haunted territory when Donna and Shannon (?) started shrieking when the foam behind Donna slid. I had Brian's reaction when Barry said they were going to take Annie's toys and burn them. Btw, is it just me or did nobody say anything positive about Brian when they were showing the members of Ghost Hunters:International? Andy- he's great! Rob- totally like Jason and Grant! Shannon- she's new but eager! Donna- we love Donna! Brian? Errr, hey we're investigating a castle! I wasn't surprised that Donna's "carriage" was just Barry and Donna. I guess nice work Rob for figuring that out.

It was good seeing Jason and Grant in a new episode, even if the lighthouse was a little disappointing this time around. I'm looking forward to their new episodes.
As for the other team, like angelaudie, I'm pretty meh about it. Rob seemed really stiff and unpleasant and Andy has always annoyed the shit out of me. He was really pushing himself ahead of Rob in many cases, not deferring to Rob's leadership, IMO. I wonder if they'll end up butting heads. Brian seems to be less annoying and I see he's back to being "tech manager". I had to laugh when he was talking about, "whenever someone needs something, they'll know I'll have it and it'll be ready to do" or some such. I remember all the issues they had a few years back (but then again, I wonder how much of that past conflict was staged?). Donna didn't used to annoy me but holy cow, they should never let her be an investigator. All in all, they've put together a team that could quickly become too annoying to watch.
At the beginning of the show, when Jason and Grant were pitching the idea to Donna for an international team, apparently this was a six week thing. I wonder if they'll just come back to the regular Ghost Hunters afterwards?
