Hmm, I got the impression that Grant is Christian, but wow, super Christian.

I go back and forth between cracking up at how he never swears ("What the fadge?") and being annoyed by his stupid made-up swear words. Just say it, God damn it.

That said, I like Grant. He seems like a sweet guy.

Welp, in my view, it's just like Scientology. I've also known a lot of Mormons and they bother me quite a bit. Mostly, I just feel sorry for them. Not to get too off-topic, but I can't believe Grant isn't in deep shit with the Church for being involved with TAPS at all, let alone actively promoting its work on a popular reality show.

OT / Papa Spin's family was born and raised Mormon and everyone still is, except my Nana Spin. She claims it's a "false religion" and does everything she can to insure we know that.

I'm really surprised about Grant. The thill is truly gone.

Going back to the show itself, or rather "Ghost Hunters International". Wow. I watch it, because its sort of like a trainwreck--I can't turn away. Brian, Andy and Rob don't bother me so much--especially because Andy seems to try to debunk stuff.

Shannon, Donna, and Barry? Do they realize they're not on "Most Haunted"? They just go in, so ready to believe, that the debunking seems to go to the side.

I agree, kateln. My husband and I were watching it last night and I said, "I betcha Robb says it's haunted." I think every show we've watched of GHI they've ended up saying that, even with the most dubious of "evidence." And yeah, Andy does debunk but damn, he's an arrogant little prick. Shannon and Donna are about worthless. Oddly enough, Brian hasn't bothered me at all this season.

I tried to watch the international version again last night, and this show just doesn't hold my attention. Not the way Ghost Hunters: Original Recipe does.

And I wondered if something like this would happen. A lot of the younger team members would get excited about something on GH, but then Jason and Grant would come in and look at it a bit more rationally and find a non-paranormal explanation for it. This team really seems adrift without an anchor to keep them tied to reality. I actually think that if Brian and Andy were a bit more mature and a bit more confident, they could step up and fill that role. I hope they can do it, but I'm not holding my breath.

And I'm not at all surprised that Donna is reacting to everything the way she has. She has always struck me as very "I Want To Believe" and I didn't like it when she went out on cases with them - I always preferred it when she stayed behind in the office.

Totally. I consider GH: I a total wash. Which is kinda sad. And I have to post, I really hope none of these folks come back to the original Ghost Hunters after their show bombs.
