I watched GH:I the other night and boy does that suck. I completely agree that they're way too damn eager to find ghosts and other paranormal shit. I don't think they have any credibility whatsoever. "I feel a cold spot by the window! EEeeee!!" I hope they don't go back to the original show either. I've never like that twerpy boy or the other guy with the weak chin. Donna's mostly a non-entity to me, but lately she's been annoying, especially during that episode where she mentioned that she visited one of the sites about eight thousand times in half an hour.
Is Shannon a mouth breather? I couldn't see too clearly while I was watching, but every time they cut to her during one of the night vision scenes it looked like her mouth was just hanging open waiting for flies. I laughed and laughed whenever they showed her.

Uh-oh. I suddenly...don't have a good feeling about the future of Ghost Hunters. I might be able to explain more about why later, but suddenly I'm...just not feeling good about its future.

I just flipped over to the god-awful Paranormal State and guess who is Ryan's latest client? Shannon Sylvia from Ghost Hunters International.
Blerg. Their credibility with me just took a huge nosedive.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. I mean, Shannon supposed joined some TAPS like organization in 2005, and this show with Ryan was supposedly filmed over the last year. Sooo - why didn't she say that she was a paranormal investigator herself? Why didn't she do something like mention that her own paranormal research team checked the place out (and they did) and she would like to compare notes? Why no mention of it at all?
Oh, and the best part was that Shannon was going on about this psychic she had brought in who felt all these spirits (her townhouse used to be a school and she claimed there were ghosts of children there). The psychic could not keep her story straight. Ryan interviewed her one day, was suspicious and brought her back the next day, and she had a completely different story. Even Ryan was rolling his eyes.
On a side note, Ryan's group apparently coordinates and hosts paranormal events at the PSU campus. Someone on TWoP noted that they invited Jason and Grant from TAPS to speak at last year's, as well as Lorraine Warren, a Catholic priest, a self-described "vampirologist", and the dude who played Pinhead in Hellraiser.
Yes, Pinhead from Hellraiser.

"Vampirologist"? Get the f*** out. Did Jason and Grant speak at PSU?
Yeah, how can Shannon be a ghost hunter when she's got to call in another paranormal group to investigate her home?

I'm wondering that myself. I wonder if TAPS investigated Shannon's home and found nothing. Shannon couldn't accept those answers so she moved on to Ryan who probably told her what she wanted to hear. Of course, that doesn't explain why she later joined TAPS.

I've decided I can't watch GH International because Andy bugs the ever-living snot out of me. God, he's like the annoying kid who sits behind you in math class and looks over your shoulder explaining why he solved the problem faster than you.

So many Shannon jokes...so little time.
But damn she's been rode hard and put away wet!
