The strange, credibility-straining inter-relationship between TAPS and other groups, especially those that have also been the subject of reality TV shows, is one of the reasons I think GH is not long for this world. Also, I'm just getting this...feeling that Jason in particular wants to move on (he's been looking kinda bored this season).

I've decided I can't watch GH International because Andy bugs the ever-living snot out of me. God, he's like the annoying kid who sits behind you in math class and looks over your shoulder explaining why he solved the problem faster than you. Gah! Me, too. Can't stand the insufferable, arrogant know-it-all. Disclaimer: For all I know, he's a real peach of a guy but he sure comes off like a dick on the show.

I don't know if it will be their downfall, but I don't think it helps. I mean, Shannon appearing on Paranormal State when she is already part of a paranormal investigation group pretty much confirms that that show is fictional, and casts her other show in a bad light. I'm thinking Shannon might be in this just to be on television.
Did anyone catch the latest offering from the GH producers - UFO Hunters? Which kind of hilariously airs at the exact same time as a show on A&E called...UFO Hunters?
UFOs are another thing I'm undecided on. While I do think there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe (the universe is just way too vast for it to be only us), I don't know if they actually come here and mutilate cattle and give anal probes.
Anyway, the format of the show was very much like GH, and the two main guys are appealing in the same way Jason and Grant are - they both seem pretty down to earth, and both are trying to debunk things. They also have an astonomer as part of their team who can check and see if things are actually meteorites, etc., and apparently has some buddies in the FAA who give him some insider scoop. The other main person on their team is a woman who used to work as a PI and is usually the one who goes out and interviews witnesses and tries to assess whether or not they are making it up. The process is pretty much the same as GH, except they kind of have to come in after the fact and review evidence rather than test for it right then and there (unless they get REALLY lucky and a UFO shows up while they happen to be pointing their cameras at the sky). They have a "reveal" segment at the end, but it is mostly the team summing everything up since they don't have any clients to present it to.
The episode was pretty interesting because there was video footage to review, as well as witness accounts and police reports and radar reports from the FAA. Things got a bit shaky when they decided that one guy they talked to may have been abducted and they took him to a hypnotist, but at the end they admitted the most they could say was they have no proof it happened, just that the guy really believed that it did.

I'm a nerd, and I like nerds, but Andy is insufferable.

Is it wrong that I enjoyed the catfight between Shannon and Donna? Nothing is more entertaining than watching two twits pout that their way is better and the other one is being a big old meanie. Then again I laugh whenever Barry squeaks, "Oh dear God!" Maybe I'm just mean.
Am I the only one who wanted to slap Andy for whining that he had to go back to the U.S. to witness his baby being born? He made it sound like some huge burden! I understand that do these investigations is a huge passion of his but geez! It's your first born! This is never going to happen again! End of rant.
I miss Jason and Grant.

Me too. These other twits suck. The snit Donna and Shannon got into was lame. "Shannon doesn't show the same respect I do, wah wah wah!" It really seems like they're trying to make it into some kind of dramatic reality show where everyone hates each other and talks shit behind the others' backs.

That was terrible. I'm not sure what's worse, the fact that he actually said that, or the idea the writers might have encouraged him to say it just to establish the timeline. UGH. This show sucks.

Donna's starting to really annoy the crap out of me. She was fine on the original GH probably because she was usually behind the desk or just dealing with research but she's definitely not a strong member of the group. It was nice having a break from Andy. Edited to add: Wow, I finally made Lord of the Snarks after two years.
