The giant green and yellow coverings make the houses look like carnival tents or something at a renaissance fair, which cracked me up. Ye Olde Madrigal Methfest! Limited Time Engagement! I'm kind of surprised at how they are having Walt deal with Skylar's breakdown. Not in terms of what he told Marie - that made total sense. But more Walt's apparent disregard for the fact that he scares his wife, repulses her, and now she is losing the plot. Is that denial or callousness? I figure it is just part of his growing egomania and callousness. He's pretty much married to the $ and power now. If she's that scared he probably doesn't think she'll talk or do anything, which is a mistake! She's another one I think could bring the whole house of cards down. ETA: In that scene where Walt is talking to Jesse about his girlfriend and relationship status (secrets creating barriers, spending the rest of your life with someone, trust, how much to share, etc.), I took that to be as much about Walt's own relationship as about Jesse's.

I think Walt's also assuming that now he's everything Skylar wanted in a guy like Ted Beneke: rich, powerful, able to provide a little danger and thrill. He doesn't see how he could truly repulse her.
The last couple of seasons made me give commercial laundries the side eye. Now it's going to be tented houses.

What was up with that closing conversation between Walt and Jesse? Was bringing up the murder of Victor a threat, was he trying to tell Jesse to not get too big for his britches or he'll get taken down?
There are so many people who can take Walt out now, and he's become so arrogant he's oblivious to the danger. At this point Skylar, Jesse (if he learns about all the ways Walt's fucked with him), Mike, a Madrigal henchman, and even Sal could stick a knife in his back and not think twice about it.

I have grown to completely loathe Walt. Skyler, too, which is why I think they wrote in her 'crisis'--she was becoming so unlikeable after completely committing to the money laundering/IRS scamming that they had to give her more of a conscience.
No kidding. And even in the fictional BB universe, I think that whole set up would make at least a few people go, "What's going on in there...you don't think it's meth do you?"
No way, no how is this scheme going to hold up (although it will turn into a great story for the media once they all get busted.) The Three Stooges in the background was spot on. These two clowns are going to get so screwed.
Yeah, really. I was totally thinking, "Meth Viewing! Real Meth Cooks Here! $2 a peek!"

The tented house reminded me of the x-files Frankenstein episode. What was up with that closing conversation between Walt and Jesse? Was bringing up the murder of Victor a threat, was he trying to tell Jesse to not get too big for his britches or he'll get taken down? That conversation was odd. I thought he was more implying that Mike will have to be taken out sooner or later. Walt is certainely the master manipulator. Telling Marie about Skyler and Ted, planting the seeds for Jesse to break up with Andrea. That look that Walt gave Brock when they were alone was creepy as hell. Although at this point almost everything Walt does is creepy. Speaking of Brock did they ever explain how he was poisoned? I know that Saul's bodyguard stole the riacin cigarette to make Jesse think that was what poisoned Brock. And I know it was actually the Lily of the Valley plant instead. But how did Walt get Brock to ingest it? Did I totally miss the explanation? I was wondering if the tenseness in the scene with Walt and Brock was maybe Walt wondering if Brock would recognize him. But that didn't seem to be the case.

No, they haven't explained it, and that's been bugging me! I wonder if we'll get a flashback one week which explains how Walt got Brock to ingest the LoV berries. It's got to have been something seemingly innocuous that appealed to the kid. Jesse mentioned that the berries are sweet, so a strategically planted kid-friendly treat of some sort??? House-warming gift basket from Saul? I remember Saul being there when Andrea and Brock moved into their new place.

One thing I do like about this year--they're filming the White home from angles and perspectives we have not yet seen. Makes it look like a different house, which contributes to the "everything is different now" effect.
I still think Skyler will eventually be the one to go to jail over all this.

I'm worried about Walt Jr. He's been made into such an affable, loving kid that I'm sure they're setting him up for a massive downfall.

One thing I really liked about last ep--Skinny Pete plays keyboard! That was so much better than most of Skinny's activities on this series.

I thought Skinny Pete's keyboard playing was kinda sad - he clearly has talent, but decided to spend his life marinating in drugs and petty crime.
As for Walt and Skyler, I think he just sees dollar signs and isn't going to let her little emotional problems stand in his way. Just like he's probably not going to let Mike and his expenses stand in his way for long, even though he agreed to let Mike run the business, no questions asked. But Walt is getting too greedy.
Unfortunately, I don't see Mike surviving. I agree that Skyler will go to jail, either for her laundering for Walt or cooking the books for Ted. Walt will die, but who knows if it will be cancer or a bullet. I think Walt, Jr. and Holly will go to Hank and Marie (have they ever addressed why they don't have kids? Marie clearly adores kids).
I hope Jesse gets out alive. Unlike Walt, he's haunted by the bad things he has done. He's getting smart about the business, and eventually he'll get smart about Walt, and I think Mike will protect him. He's gotta learn that Walt poisoned Brock at some point.
The house tents reminded me of that X-Files episode too. I kept hoping they'd play Cher's "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" while they tented the house.
