So, here's a question I just thought of--does Skyler know about Ted Beneke yet? Did Saul break the news to her in that last ep and I just missed it?

I marathonned this show over the past week and a half, including season 4. Holy shit! This is one of the best shows I've ever watched.

So, apparently, they're breaking season five into two parts. Groovy. Premier is in July. Can't wait.

Bumping for the season 5 premier in a couple of weeks. Promo for season 5 . Looks promising. First 2 minutes of the first episode of season 5 . I can't wait. I still don't know how they are going to top last season but since this is the final season I am sure they will really go for broke. I am anticipating lots of deaths among the main cast. I hope that Gus makes an appearance in flashback or something.

I'm glad to see Mike is still around.
They are splitting this over two summers, right?

Yeah.
I'm predicting Walt's cancer returns, although it may not be what kills him. Remember the intro to "Negro y Azul"? The band who played the song about Walt getting offed by the cartel? That contains a final shot that makes me think Jesse (or someone wearing baggy pants and sneakers) kills Heisenberg.
I think Hank might get to kill Jesse, although given his injuries, Hank may have to go the revenge is best served cold route there. I really fear for the life of Marie, Walter, Jr. and little Holly! Not to mention my beloved Saul. Finally, as I've confessed before, I think it's Skyler who winds up taking the fall for Walt's crimes, and the series may end with her in jail or facing a stiff sentence (it's possible she may do more time for the money laundering than for helping Walt after finding out about the meth.)

I definitely believe that the series will end with Walt's death. I suppose there will be something poetic about Jesse being the one who does it (though I do hope Jesse survives. He seems like such a lot soul most of the time while Walt is just a total bastard - a beta male who has gotten a taste of alpha male power and doesn't want to give it up).
I think Skyler will somehow go down too. When she did that coin toss at the four corners, the universe was telling her to get the hell out of dodge and she didn't listen. Walt will die, she'll probably go to jail, Hank and Marie will get to raise baby Holly and feed Walter, Jr. his breakfast every day.

I will be very sad if they kill off Saul. I think you are both right in how it ends. Skyler going to prison and Walt dying either of cancer or at Jesse's hands. What I think he deserves is for him to actually see Skyler go down, he gets too sick to take care of the kids who go to Hank and Marie and he dies alone with nobody else realizing he was the mastermind drug kingpin. Not sure what will happen to Jesse. On one hand he is more innocent then Walt. But he still went into the life willingly. I can't see him getting a completely happy ending.
Yes, Breaking Bad season 5 is going to be split into two. Eight episodes this summer and then the last eight in 2013.

I have a couple of hunches about this final season.
Gus Fring planted a mole in the DEA and I suspect it's Hank's partner or boss. They were way too dismissive of Hank's theories about Fring. And Fring had that chummy relationship with the agency. Supplying food to agency events would be good cover for collecting info from the mole.
Walt's son is not named Walt Jr. for nothing. I feel like there'll be a tragic case of mistaken identity when someone comes looking for Walter White and finds the kid instead.
