I've been on a Rum Runner music kick for about six months, and it hasn't let up. On particular heavy rotation has been The Devils. I shiver at the thought of what might've been if World Exclusive, Lost Decade and Come Alive had made it into the official Duran oeuvre. I can listen to World Exclusive twenty times in a row. It's the "sha la la la woo hoo" that makes it art.

And "Push the Button" is truly ear crack. I cannot get enough of that song. I downloaded this Sugarbabes song since I like "ear crack." Is it just me, or does it sound a helluva lot like Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You"?

Hee.
I'm just a regular joe, With a regular job, I'm your average white suburbanite slob.
I like football, and porno, and books about war. I've got an average house, with a nice hardwood floor. My wife, and my job my kids, and my car. My feet on the table, and a Cuban cigar.
But sometimes that just ain't enough enough to keep a man like me interested. No, I've got to go out and have fun at someone else's expense, I drive really slow, in the ultra fast lane. While people beinhd me are going insane I'm an ASSHOLE ee yo dee yo dee yo I'm an asshole (he's a real fucking asshole)
And so on and so forth. Great song, in fact the whole album is brilliant. ;D

I just got Damien Rice's "O" from the library and am listening to it for the first time right now. It's very pretty. Very very pretty. It's not perfect, but I'm enjoying it.

I'm obsessively listening to Age Pryor these days. An incredibly talented musician with a lovely voice. Hints of Nick Drake, but with more edge and funk. Fantastic!

"Gold Lion" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Good lord I love this song! I think i've already listened to it a hundred times since they put it up on their website.
A friend introduced me to her too and I loved the cd so much I had to go get my own copy. My favorite tracks are "Headlock" and "Clear the Area".

I totally have a jones for "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not" by the Arctic Monkeys, the latest "next big thing" band out of the U.K.
I can't get "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" out of my head nor my iPod.
By the way, they've become so hyped, they'll be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on March 11.
